Iranians take it to the streets
I have been following events as they unfold in Iran and I have to say the people of iran have imprressed me. In a civil fashion they have taken it to the streets to demonstrate against the flawed elections. The people came out in their thousands to take a stand against President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stolen victory. I have to give it to the oppostion they have been well organised on their marches calling them off when they thought violence could eruupt against the ruling party supporters and honouring those who lost their lives to the corward police and army who have been the main pepertrators of vilonce so far.
If the oppsition had not taken this stand the Ayatollah would not have commissioned the inquiry into the elections and Ahmadinejad would have won the elections.
Many consider President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as hard nut to crack but sooner or later national interests are going to prevail. I tell you one thing that is not going to happen is a coalition government because Iranians will not let this happen.
If only the Zimbabwean people had stood together in such a manner after last years election the situation would be different right now, we would not be thinking of how to get rid of a few certain bodies. Re-building the country would be our only priority right now. The vote was stolen and we were bullied into living with it. That is one thing I have to give the ZANU PF they know how to work the people, Zimbabweans should have taken to the streets to express their disgust. What did we do after that first election we went back to work and carried on with our everyday lives as if nothing had happened.
Zimbabweans like to sit back and let other people/nations take care of their problems, they dont want to get their hands dirty, if it looks like its going to be a lot of work they tend to just say “that is how Mugabe operates” and let it be.
In my opinion its pathetic.
