Solomon Mujuru aka Rex Nhongo May 1, 1949 – August 15, 2011

The death of retired army General Solomon Tapfumaneyi Mujuru aka Rex Nhongo has sent the country into a state of shock with tongues wagging and for the first time in the murky politics of Zimbabwe the opposition can sit-out on this one.

A decorated liberation war hero General Solomon Mujuru will be remembered by all Zimbabweans as a true hero of the liberation struggle.

Though Joice Mujuru has come out and said that people should not jump to conclusions regarding her husband’s death the family want answers and are thinking of bringing in foreign investigators to look into this matter as those locally might interfere. If this was just an accident why the so many discrepencies, why a police investigation, surely the Fire Dept who turned up 3 hours late with no water have an investigation team to look into this.

I do not blame Zimbabweans for being sceptical about the General’s death, it was what we know, it was what we have come to accept, political figures who act like a dog with a bone die in mysterious accidents or are “bumped-off “, and one other thing we have come to accept is that no culprits are never brought to book as those responsible are “untouchable” and very ingenious in their ways. (List below, feel free to add to it)

The in-fighting within Zanu PF has intensified in recent years as the old man takes more flights to Asia to see his health team, Gen Mujuru has been backing his wife Joice to take over once Mugabe retires “steps down” dies. Vying for the same post is the Joint Operations Command Chair Emmerson Munangagwa who is known to be ruthless when it calls for it and the only one who really stands to benefit the most from the General death. In recent times Gen Mujuru believed aging Mugabe had become a political liability for Zanu PF and had made this known repeatedly resisting Mugabe’s election plans and becoming a thorn in Mugabe’s side.

The most intriguing thing about all this and I guess why a lot Zanu PFs would like anwsers to Who dunnit?…….. is they never expected one of their own to go in such a manner. Mugabe is going soon so the gloves are off.

The small-minded-ignorant people of Kokbite Village in Ghana have insulted the people of Zimbabwe by saying Mugabe is best leader in Africa. Is this some kind of perverse joke? What have we done to deserve this, it is just absurd and will not be accerpted by the people of Zimbabwe. Some have said he was sent by the the Almighty to lead the people of Africa, how blasphemous is that. They should pray for forgiveness for suggesting such. I challenge the small-minded-ignorant people of Kokbite Village to move to Zimbabwe for a month and still utter such BS.

Ghanaians do not have a clue what Zimbabweans have gone through under the leadership of this man, they can have Robert Mugabe any day if he is such a brilliant super being, let him come over there and sort out your economy and spread his Pan-Africanism.

What makes Mugabe so great in the small minds of the small-minded-ignorant people of Kokbite Village is that he lived in Ghana for a few years and he vilifies the West offering nothing new to the Zimbabweans. If anything Mugabe has single handedly alienated Zimbabwe from the International community and this is going to take a long time to repair.

I’d really love to know what the small-minded-ignorant people of Kokbite Village have judged on, was it Mugabe’s superperb Human rights record, his destruction of the economy, his fair land distribution policies, his ditching the Zim Dollar and taking on the U$ Dollar? Everyone is entiled to their own opinions but it would interesting to know what these people think is so great about a man who is responsible for the many deaths of his own people, a man who is at the forefront of plundering his countrys natural resources.

To my Ghanaians brothers and sisiters, stop being stuck in the colonial era, Mugabe was not sent by the Almight and we do not appreciate sentiments. Lets just get along…………If you want Mugabe you better hurry up as he does not have many days left in him.

I am done with Jacob Zuma, here is a man who has FAILED miserably in his bid to sort out the political mess in Zimbabwe and some issues in SADC yet he thinks he is right man to pursade Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi to calm the situation in Lybia. This was a long way to go for a cup of tea as we all know Gaddaffi is not going to listen to this weasel.

It is time we dropped the mug like a hot potatoe and dealt with this matter ourselves our situation was created by Thabo Mbeki and made worse by Jacob Zuma with the Help of SADC. MDC Can write and complain as much as they want to this man but he is not going to improve our situation.

This is what I don’t get about Africa out of the whole of Africa, we seem to choose the duds the sort out serious matters, laughable stuff but not as funny as Thabo Mbeki turning up in Côte d’Ivoire to sort out the differences between Laurent Gbagbo and Alassane Ouattara. Ecowas saw this dud from a mile away and gave him a cold shoulder.

When is this ridiculousness going to stop……..Alois Mabhunu, a homicide detective in Bulawayo was arrested for using President Robert Mugabe’s toilet at the annual Trade Fair and could face more than a year in prison. Lucky for Mabhunu he has Human Rights Lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa representing him.

A caution maybe for answering natures call at the expense of the President, an arrest and charge of a senior police official is just ludicrous. This treating of Mugabe as a mini-god has gone too far, they deem this as an insult to the Geriatric One a violation of Section 33 of the Criminal Law and Codification Act, which punishes anyone who insults or undermines the authority of the President.

Mugabe himself can put a stop to this nonsense but he seems to revel in it, it is just plain shamefull for a “leader” of a country to be involved or have his name tied to such rubbish. This is just a waste of time and a waste of taxpayers money (something Zimbabwe doesn’t have a lot of). I have been saying for a while now that ZANU PF is an organisation that has nothing to offer Zimbabweans, it has been reduced to toilet “stuff” and this is how they are making headlines.

Mabhunu’s case should not have gone this far but with idiots like these………

The exuberantly stupid Jonathan Moyo has been at it again, this man would do anything to stay in the news. The first time he attacked Zuma after the SADC Troika in April for announcing that the regional bloc was going to establish an election road map for Zimbabwe I tried to ignore him and I am sure most people did. This ZANU PF we are dealing with, if it is not the Commander in Chief it is one of his minions, we are getting used it.

Now you ask yourself, How can Prof. Jonathan Moyo be Idiot-of-the-Week twice in 41 days? Easy….. Prof. Jonathan Moyo has a serious case of foot & mouth (putting his foot in his mouth) the man cannot keep it to himself, one would think that at a time when SADC waking up to ZANU PF’s rubbish people like the Professor would keep schtum, No No No no chance of that.

The last time Prof. Jonathan Moyo put pen to paper on the Zuma issue in the Sunday Mail Newspaper, the Vice President Joice Mujuru had to apologise to Zuma via the South African Embassy and George Charamba aka Nathaniel Manheru had to take a page out the newspaper with tail between his legs just to set the record straight and re-build relations with SA. In the article he distanced the Jongwe’s government and Moyo’s opinion.

This time Moyo is back accussing Zuma and SADC of being puppets of West, a card Zanu PF tends to pull out when they are backed into a corner causing further strain on the already tense relations between South Africa and Zimbabwe. If this has not angerd Zuma I don’t know what is going to, Moyo is in Mugabe’s pocket these rant have got to be comming from ZANU PF.

Although South Africa have dismissed Moyo’s opinions as the rantings of a fool I wonder who Mugabe is going to get to apologise? I suggest Chinotimba the comic war veteran, has a comedic way of easing the pain, JZ might get it and before you know it they might bosom buddies again.

Idiot-of-the-Week will try not to honour Prof. Jonathan Moyo in the next 41 days if he promises to behave himself.

Gbagbo is out, what a muppet, lost the election then came up with some story ’bout the West conspiring to get him out of  power. If there is anything that works in politics its elections, people vote you in and when you can’t pull your weight on the job they vote you out. Gbagbo was voted out but he had other plans, when are these African leaders going to learn? When you don’t get enough votes just leave with your dignity intact because when they come for you it is going to be messy and those are the last images we are going to have of you. Why Gbagbo did not negotiate an exit plan earlier on just shows how greedy and disillusioned he was, ECOWAS blamed him for the violence and called on the UN to take action and this has left him the laughing stock of the world……Go France go any of these idiots who want to hold onto power way past their sell by dates deserve to be paraded in such a humiliating way. It’s clear from these images Gbagbo is no longer in control.

3 days ago the Robert Mugabe left for Singapore, it must be that prostate cancer time for another routine check up (the cataract) and guess who is funding this trip …………….yes! the people of Zimbabwe. Once again Robert has dipped his hand in the cookie jar and helped himself. Mugabe still does not have confidence in the doctors back home, so off he goes to Singapore. The interesting thing about this trip is that Mugabe has accompanied his wife who is seeking treatment for what was described as a serious ailment (that makes 2 members of the Mugabe family who lack confidence in Zimbabwean Doctors).

Call me a sceptic if you want that’s your own opinion (you are entitled to it) but I think this is all rubbish. Let’s be serious here, although Grace has stayed away from the cameras since we learnt about the affair Mugabe is in Singapore for medical treatment and his team have run out of excuses, they can’t keep feeding the nation the same old nonsense every week. We saw it for ourselves at the SADC Troika Summit in Livingstone, Zambia where Mugabe arrived with an entourage of over 60 people; the man was wobbly on his feet and had to make use of a golf buggy. I thought to myself how cruel of ZANU PF to trouble a man of ill-health in his later years in such a way. Mugabe’s own spokesman George Charamba aka Nathaniel Manheru does not have clue why the President is in Singapore and I find this interesting. Charamba is Mugabe’s little lap dog and I find it hard to believe that he does not have a clue why his master is out of the country. In a way Charamba has let the cat out of the bag by speculating like a race track bettor, below are some of the reasons for the latest trip

• Meeting up daughter in Singapore who is on attachment in China
• Grace dislocated her hip (…….and she goes all the way to Singapore!)
• Grace badly injured her back while exercising at a gym.
• Grace developed some slight discomfort with her back after the birth of Chatunga

The writing is on the wall, why this man does not just take a back seat stop troubling himself and enjoy the very few days he has left is just madness, what is the point if every time he has a bad night he jets off to Singapore surely our coffers can not handle this.

The dead bodies are showing up just in time for election campaign, wow. Robert Mugabe and ZANU PF are once again taking us for fools, using this as political propaganda to get the people behind them as we draw closer to the election. It’s like clock work with this party, you wait for it long enough you hear them come up with the same old rubbish, it’s the varungu (Whites), it’s Britain, it’s America it’s this it’s that. I have said this time and time again Robert Mugabe and ZANU PF have nothing new to offer Zimbabwe it’s the same old song over and over, this time it’s an evil disturbing stunt by this regime. Every time Mugabe gets on the podium he reminds the people of the armed struggle (kuteura ropa) or something from that era just to get them to think “oh we have to get behind Mugabe he liberated us”. Sorry Mr President, us the people are tired of this, it’s time to change the record.

Mugabe and ZANU PF have decided to blame Ian Smith and the pre-independence war for these bodies, hoping people will rally behind them, how sick is that. They have even gone to the extent of organising school trips to the mine to “educate” school children on the atrocities of the Smith regime and parading them on national tv (you can smell the desperation).

You do not have to be a pathologist to come up with: These bodies are not from three decades ago (Look at this pics). Some eager beaver within the party has tried to defy the laws of science here and this has discredited the whole stunt. These bodies were first discovered in 2008 why didn’t you tell us about them then, why now? Saviour Kasukuwere, the Zanu (PF) Minister of Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment has said, “Forensic tests and DNA analysis of the remains won’t be carried out” .

I ask myself two things here:

1. Why is the Zanu (PF) Minister of Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment getting involved?
2. Why are Forensic tests and DNA analysis not being carried out. (Could it be ZANU knows the cause of death therefore we skip this step)

Surely this is a  Home Affairs Ministry job, right now Kembo Mohadi and Theresa Makone should their sleeves rolled up down the mine shaft sorting this mess out. ZANU PF has blood on their hands they should tell us what happened here, Zimbabwe is tired of this pulling the wool over our eyes and spewing the same old hogwash whenever you want a bit of support. These bodies are something ZANU PF have full knowledge of, who they are, where they came from and how they got down that mine shaft. This has Gukurahundi and disappeared opposition political victims written all over it. Poor Ian Smith is not here to defend himself or his regime hence ZANU take advantage.

Prime Minister Tsvangirai recently embarked on a tour of Southern Africa to try and “engage” SADC leaders in his vision for Zimbabwe, well his main priority is the “upcomming” elections that only Robert Mugabe knows when they are going to be held (how fair is that). The Prime Minister gets 10/10 6/10 for effort, but you have to ask yourself “What is the Point?” Tsvangirai wants the SADC leaders aware of the the ongoing MDC  arrests and torture of party officials and political activists. Talking about it is good but your audience is another thing.

SADC leaders have supported Mugabe for some time now something the Prime minister is well aware of, why he would embark on such a tour that is not going to yield any positive results is just beyond me, which is why I say for effort he get a few marks but trying to engage these other idiots is just a waste of time. Zimbabwe is in its current situation because of SADC thanks to them we have this ridiculous GNU in place, if SADC turned to the UN for help with Zimbabwe issues they will be admitting that the coaliton has failed and we all know they are not going to do that.

After all the teas, coffees and airmiles nothing has been achieved in Zimbabwe, SADC have done us more harm than good, Robert Mugabe and ZANU PF know very well where SADC stands when it comes their attitudes on Zimbabwe. Botswana President Ian Khama and the late Zambian President Levy Mwanawasa where the only SADC leaders to openly criticise Mugabe, the rest of them need to grow a pair. Tsvangirai does not have the respect of these regional leaders and I think he should leave them alone as they are not going to do anything to help him deliver democracy to Zimbabwe. SADC has failed Zimbabweans, miserably and its time we dealt with this our own way. In 2008 at the African Summit in Egypt Mugabe nailed it when he said the “Zimbabwean situation can only be solved by Zimabweans” and I believe its time to stop re-engaging these puppets and do more work at home. SADC under Mugabe’s instruction tied the hands of Tsvangirai, by signing up to the coalition he breathed “political life” into the geriatric, as the last kicks of the dying donkey where clearly visible. Before you know it Mugabe was back calling the shots backed by SADC. Any problems Tsvangirai had, he’d run off Zuma and in-turn Zuma would send one of his facilitaion teams who are still to come up with decent solutions for the way forward.

The minute Tsvangirai signed up to the coaliton he gave up his right to rally people who supported the Movement of Democratic Change against Mugabe and ZANU PF. Instead of being a solution he ended up being part of the problem. The reason why the International community is supporting the “rebels” in Lybia against the dictator Gaddafi is because of the oil the Arab League were fully behind the intervention, they were committed to UN security council resolution 1973. The people Zimbabwe will never get any help until SADC and the AU give the go ahead as they are in Mugabe’s pocket, The only way forward for this country is if people take matters into their own hands no Zuma, Msawati orGuebuza is going to come to our rescue.

The sooner we get out of this GPA the better, Mugabe has got Tsvangirai where he wants him in the corner with a bowl of milk. Tsvangirai needs to make noise on the international scene as regionally he will never get the support he craves. The Old boys club is not taking any new members and they will forever see him as a puppet for the West. He also has to drop this blowing hot and cold stance he has on Mugabe, he goes overseas and shouts about how nice Mugabe is and such a pleasure to work with, when he gets home he cries about how the marriage of convinience is not working and that he might pull out, pick one and run with it.

As you all know I am a BIG fan of President Robert Gabriel Mugabe, where would Zimbabwe be without good old Bob? Last week I was saddened to learn that the President had to take a commercial flight back to Singapore for  another eye check-up following a prostate operation cataract operation. After all this man has done for Zimbabwe this is how we thank him, by shoving him on a commercial flight in his time of need to Singapore. This is no way to treat a senior citizen. Robert Mugabe deserves the best and only the best……….Pass me the sick bag!

The truth is Robert Mugabe’s failing  health is ‘hurting Zimbabwe’ he is never available and this is affecting government business and operations, when he does make a show he sleeps all the time, (Biti complained about this recently) you really can’t blame an 87 year old man for snoozing through a boring 2-hour cabinet meeting. In the last month Mugabe has spent more time in Singapore than he has in Zimbabwe surely it’s cheaper for us to just have him move over there, that way he can see his medical team whenever he wants.

Mugabe jetting to Europe and America Singapore every time he needs medical attention says a lot about the quality of healthcare in Zimbabwe back in 2009 it was Dubai, either he has no faith in the healthcare system he helped destroy or this is something more serious than cataract operation. Here is a man who goes around preaching  about indigenisation and  that all is well in Zimbabwe but the minute he needs the doctor he runs off to Singapore, what is wrong with the eye doctors in Zimbabwe? South Africa has loads of eye doctors he could have just crossed the border. The truth is we all know the President is not well the George Charamabas can come out and deny it but this is something even Mugabe cannot fix, the writing is on the wall. He has put on a brave face in the last few days turning up for his 87th birthday celebrations and the poorly attended Sanctions March.

Let the battle to succeed Mugabe intensify, I’m sure Joyce Mujuru (Vice President) and Emmerson Mnangagwa (Defence Minister) rub their hands everytime he boards the commercial flight to Singapore.

[Update] Earlier this week Finance Minister Tendai Biti confirmed that everytime Mugabe jets off for his medical check-ups he withdraws from the treasury. Mugabe’s trips to Singapore costs the Zimbabwean tax payer U$3 million everytime he jumps on the plane and in the last 4 months alone it has cost us over U$12 million, compare that to a drive down the road to the Avenues Clinic, Parirenyatwa General Hospital (Sekuru Kaguvi Eye Unit- if indeed it was for a “routine cataract surgery”) or a trip over to SA. How this man can justify these expenses when his fellow civil servants and many other people find it hard to make ends meet is just beyond me. In the past I have commended Mr Biti on standing up to Mugabe’s whimperings for money to fund his personal ventures and I think now he should put his foot down.

Zanu PF have stripped the country of its resources and they have lined their pockets with the peoples wealth now Mugabe targets the the country’s coffers, when is this going to end.

Arrested Munyaradzi Gwisai

The paranoia in ZANU PF has reached astonishing levels, arresting a group of people for watching North African protest videos and then charging them with treason is just preposterous and not totally out of character for the ZANU-PF Republic Police (ZRP)…oops the Zimbabwe Republic Police. This material (videos & footage) is widely available in the public domain, free for anyone to view and comment yet they find the time to arrest and torture Munyaradzi Gwisai and 44 social justice, trade union and human rights activists.

These meetings have been held before and no arrests have ever been made, why now? …because they have a projector, a laptop and a couple of DVDs, since when was it illegal in Zimbabwe to watch videos in group? At this moment everyone within reach of this brutal repressive regime should be scared, as this is message being sent out by ZANU to let you know that you DO NOT have the freedom you so rightly think you have in Zimbabwe, these idiots can lock you up for walking on the wrong side of the road and charge you with treason. Remember Gift Mufaka, imprisoned by the late ZANU PF magistrate Samuel Zuze for calling Mugabe old and wrinkled (call a spade a spade), You have to worry when a country with a failing economy like Zimbabwe wastes tax payers hard earned cash on such frivolous nonsense. The courts up and down the country are busy with treasonous cases cooked up by the Police and CIOs and there seems to be no end to this.

Human Rights Groups are now calling for the release of these activists and so they should, every Zimbabwean should be calling for the freedom Gwisai and these activists, they pose no threat to national security and this should end here. Mugabe and ZANU PF are running scared all this going on in North Africa has them wetting their pants and this is the reason why they try and squash anything they deem a threat or  a spark  that will get the revolution going within the borders of Zimbabwe.

ZANU PF is a party that has run out of ideas, a party that is well aware that the end is near and is now bringing out every bully tactic they can think of and flexing their political muscle in the most of absurd ways. Right now both factions of the Movement of Democratic Change should be ashamed to be in a coalition with such an organisation that does not respect the Human Rights of Zimbabweans. Little do they (ZANU PF) know that in their quest to scare off any uprisings they are fuelling the rise of tensions by persecuting Gwisai and the activists. How many governments have ever been toppled by 46 activists armed with a DVDs.

Recently the Police and members of the CID turned up to arrest/question Job Sikhala (Leader of MDC-99) for comments he made on Facebook wall regarding Mugabe’s health, now if this is not shameful then I really don’t know what is. Mr Sikhala was not home at the time so they left a note for him to report to the Police which he declined which left them to issue a warrant of arrest against Job Sikhala, but I have since learnt that he sustained some serious injuries at Harare Central and the Police refused to take him to hospital or provide medical care.

First off I would like to congratulate Miss Mushandu on her recent achievements, she was crowned Miss Tourism Zimbabwe, a well deserved title. It’s just a shame the usual suspects were there to steal the limelight and turn a beauty Pageant into a political fiasco. Philip Chiyangwa and his Zanu PF buddies (namely Edna Madzongwe, Savior Kasukuwere, David Karimanzira, Sydney Sekeramayi,  Walter Mzembi with wives in tow) decided to quiz the girls on their knowledge of Zanu PF like that has anything to do with promoting tourism in Zimbabwe. Zanu PF officials and Ministers where obviously there to take advantage of the gathering and keep the election Campaign going. Only ZANU PF can politicize a beauty pageant but this shows the desperation of one organisation.

Why are government ministers and their wives doing taking advantage of young girls to promote party business, quizzing 18 year old girls on the structure of Zimbabwe’s defence forces, ex-combatants from the war of liberation and the first commander of Zimbabwe’s guerrilla force in the 1970s. The problem with ZANU PF is they don’t know when to call for party business; ZANU is the last thing we want associated with Zimbabwean Tourism because we will never have anyone come to Zimbabwe. Why can’t some these idiots just turn up at an event seat down in their seat watch and go home. Politicians and wanna be party bigwigs should not get involved in such shows leave it to the professionals. Are we ever going to have events in Zimbabwe that do not turn political, hopefully after we kick ZANU PF out of government.

The Ironies……….

• the theme this year was “Promoting Peace through Tourism”, What a joke! While Zanu PF officials are promoting peace through tourism, ZANU PF militia thugs are terrorising innocent citizens and destroying property.

• in the early 80s Robert Mugabe and Zanu PF had banned the Miss Zimbabwe pageant because it was not inline with our traditional African values and in 2011 we find the same hypocrites using the beauty pageant to promote their party business.

Finance Minister Tendai Biti

Biti 1 – Mugabe 0

Tendai Biti the Minister of Finance has refused to fund Robert Mugabe’s private U$54m /year Scholarship Scheme. This is a victory on so many levels, Biti and his Ministry have stood up to Mugabe and so should more ministries headed by the opposition (Mrs Makone learn from this). For years Mugabe has robbed the treasury to fund this ZANU PF Scholarship Scheme that mainly benefits kids of those in his inner circle and those that have supported him over the years. They are rewarded with a Scholarship to Universities in South Africa.  Mugabe a product of Fort Hare Universty himself decided to set this up sending students to the Universty at a time when Zimbabwe had one university, this has  since been extended to other Universities in South Africa.

Why does the ordinary Zimbabwean have to fund Mugabe’s private scheme? Mudenge (Minister of High and Tertiary Education) is mad that Biti has decided on this move and said the President will find the money elswhere (Now we all know where that is going to come from don’t we Mr Mudenge) and so he should, either way we know the tax payer is going to end up paying for it, what are the chances of Mugabe going out there to get donors for his Scheme. I remember back in 2009 when 12 students lost their sholarship  funding for being members of the MDC leaving all the Zanu-PF aligned students to carry on with their studies. This was a clear message to all students on the programme that should decide  to support the oppostion your funding from the Zimbabwean Tax payer will be withdrawn. the students were afraid to return back to Zimbabwe to discuss the withdrawal of their funding as they knew they would be charged with treason.

With the economy on its knees and so many State Universitites in the country why should are we fund such a scheme. Higher education in Zimbabwe is deteriorating because of lack of funding with institutions failing to pay lecturers, yet the President wants to U$54 million to keep his friends happy.

If Mugabe believes in the country’s Higher Education so much why is he “funding” these kids to go across the border  to study for degrees that  are available in the country, doesn’t it make sense to send them to instutions within the country. Mugabe you took the farms and you have since moved onto the diamonds I’m sure you can bankroll this Scheme without our deeping your grubby hands in the countrys coffers. I’m sure Gushungo Estates has raked up enough profits to support these future Zanu-PF “commrades”.

Mr. Kalonji spent most of 2010 in Zimbabwe and I’m sure the hospitality afforded to him has got him a bit disillusioned. He has recently told international media that he does not condemn Robert Mugabe or the way he has treated his people over the years. Mr Kalonji a champion of black emancipation and empowerment thinks what Robert Mugabe is doing in Zimbabwe is for the betterment of the people.

I am a big fan of Mr. Kalonji and I enjoy his music but this is where we part ways, how can he not a condemn a man who has oppressed his own people to enrich those in his inner circle, where is the emancipation there? If Sizzla took some time to talk to average Zimbabweans he would know that the people voted him out of power and he forced his way back in. Just beacause Mugabe is anti-white, has absurd land reform programmes and is always taking shots at the West does not that make him  the peoples champion.

Sizzla is a good artist and should stick to the music or risk losing your Zimbabwean fans, leave Zimbabwean politics to Zimbabweans. He has a warped view of the world, Mugabe anti-white and anti-western rhetorics are nothing to be celebrated Zimbabweans care about their day to day needs which the current government cannot satisfy. As a bona fide Bobo Shanti Mr Kalonji is well aware that dictatorship amongst your people goes against his teachings which leads me to think that maybe those rumours about being on the run from gun related charges brough against him in Jamaica were true and Mugabe simply offered a safe hideout. Sizzla’s mangament team should be doing their best to keep their artists well away from this dictator and advise him to stop singing praises about Mugabe as “his” people your fans fell differently.

Keep making that music – Praise Ye jah!

A few weeks ago Zimbabwean Award-winning theatre actor, director and producer, Silvanos Mudzvova had his One-man demo blocked by the police. Silvanos was calling for Parliament to craft a law that compels public officials to declare their assets before taking office. In recent weeks we have all been surprised with the amount of wealth Mr Chombo has managed to accumulate on his wages over the years but this came as no surprise as it is commonly known in Zimbabwe that these ministers have been abusing their power and connections to the fullest.

What surprises me is that it has taken one person Silvanos to demonstrate calling for this law and an end to corruption when this is clearly an issue that the whole nation should be concerned with. When Silvanos announced his demo I expected scores of people to join him on the march. Mr Mudzova is doing Zimbabwe a favor by bring this to the attention of the masses as it is their taxes and resources that are being siphoned by these greedy officials.

Since the formation of the GNU Robert Mugabe’s allies ZANU PF and other corrupt official have refused and blocked a land audit. Recently the ZimOnline Investigations Team have put together a report of the top land barons in Zimbabwe and guess what they have turned out to be the very same people blocking the Land Audit. Click her to view. Mr Mugabe siad he is carrying out the land reform programme to right the wrongs of the colonial era but here we can see the top beneficiaries. When the looting of farms (land reform programme) was introduced Mugabe promoted the “One Family One Farm” but because he is now old and senile he forgot to apply this to his allies.

Transparency is over due in this government, these thiees are coining it and rubbing it in our faces. According to Mugabe he is doing it for Zimbabweans -I say he is doing it for himself and his buddies. How long are we going to stand aside and look at this nonsense, Right now every Zimbabwean should be thinking to themselves that surely if you want to spread the wealth you do not take all for yourself. ZANU PF has taken Zimbabweans for idiots in the name of so many nonsensical reforms which benefit them.

Recently the Combined Harare Residents Association (CHRA) organised a protest in the city centre, protesting against corruption and greed prooving that there are many people out there who are not happy with these officials lining their pockets, the residents were also calling for the suspension of “Business Genius” Ignatius Chombo pending investigations into his corrupt dealings. Its sad to say I dont see this happening so maybe Zimbabweans need to think this through, just one more time as this cannot go on forever. Thanks to Mrs Chombo and the Hearald Ignatius Chombo is just te face of corruption in Zimbabwe he is by no means the only guilty party.

Thabo Mbeki

Why why why, if the people of Ivory Coast think they have it bad the worst is still to come, Thabo Mbeki is in Cote d’Ivoire to meditate the problem away to mediate between Laurent Gbagbo and his rival Alassane Outtara, who are each claiming the presidency. Gbagbo has done a “Mugabe” and has refused to vacate the presidency. Africa is a huge continent with millions of people and the minute two politicians disagree on an election matter the African Union (AU) sends in Thabo Mbeki. Why Thabo Mbeki? Because this man resume speaks for itself when it comes to forming coalition govts and messing up a country he is the right man for the job.
Those of you who have been here before know how much love I have for this excuse of a politician. Thabo Mbeki is partly to blame for all the problems Zimbabwe is going through right now thanks to his mediating between Robert Mugabe and Morgan Tsvangirai which resulted in the formation of the current useless Coalition govt in Zimbabwe and now this man has been given another chance to replicate this diabolic nonsense in Ivory Coast.

I might be a bit biased but hey it’s my blog Mbeki was fired for for his political conspiracy to frame another useless mediator Jacob Zuma and his failed mediation in the Zimbabwe Crisis, the AU can do better.

Ivorians be scared be very scared.

Africa has a bunch of people who are capable of handling this situation and Thabo Mbeki should be the last person to be tasked with this. Ouattara has already been endorsed by the UN and neighbouring countries and should turn down any shiffty deals Mbeki offers him something the former South African President is good at.

Coalition governemnts do not work in Africa, they just prolong the current problems it’s hight time African leaders learnt to congratulate the winner have a beer and move on.

Zimbabwe media under fire

Another day another journalist arrested for doing his job. Nqobani Ndlovu of The Standard was recently arrested, his crime …….criminal defamation against the Police, but really he was arrested for reporting the truth something the Zimbabwean authorities have a problem with.

How can one carry out their daily duties without the fear of being persecuted? Where is the press freedom and freedom of expression? There is no room for critical media in Zimbabwe and journalists from independent newspapers are always on the lookout and as Zimbabwe heads for elections in 2011 intimidation and harassment of journalists will increase. Anyone who dares to publish stories on the corruption of authorities risks jail. Some often argued that there is freedom of expression in Zimbabwe but no freedom after expression to a certain extent that is true but reluctance of the authorities to open up the airwaves goes on to show the media state of affairs in the country.

So many criminals in ZANU but no arrests, yet they waste time going after the small fish just to make a point.  There so many Zimbabwean journalists on the run today for fear of persecution over material they have published. The a need not worry about state run media as they have full control it’s the independent media they are always on the look-out for hence bringing the Public Order Security Act (POSA) and Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act (AIPPA) it’s to curtail those who think the public should be well informed

Elections are around the corner and it’s evident that ZANU are preparing for it, why else would they be recruiting soldiers around the country unless there is a war they have not told us about. Recruiting War veterans and retired officers for top posts in the police to help build the crumbling structures of ZANU PF is a known fact. Arresting Journalist like Nqobani Ndlovu is just a way of sending a message to people in his profession to watch out for the same would happen to them. The main reason why Nqobani has been arrested is that he has made the public aware of what ZANU PF is up to. This time the Police have brought out their favourite CRIMINAL LAW (CODIFICATION AND REFORM) ACT and slapped Nqobani with violating Section 96 defaming Police Commissioner Augustine Chihuri and the entire Zimbabwean Republic Police.
