There is something about the month of November that gets Mugabe’s lyrical juices flowing, splashed across new-sites and papers today were news about the release of his “Pop” song Toita Sei (What Shall We Do?). A cheap shot from the aging ZANU PF leader to engage and brainwash the youth of Zimbabwe…..Why not? It has worked the his collaborators a band called Born Free Crew (Why Sanii Why ????) a talented group of young people who have decided to waste their talent on promoting ZANU PF and educating their fellow peers on the Mugabe’s contribution to our society. What they have failed to do is highlight Mugabe’s disastrous and highly unsuccessful economic and social policies…..(They are not paid for that now are they…..)

Mugabe featured last November on the Band’s Get Connected song. The song pays tribute to President Mugabe were he “drops” the following words “Hello Shingi Zvirisei sei, How has your day been?” and he says throughout the entire song. In the run-up to elections Robert Mugabe is now scraping the barrel, portraying himself as a “cool” President in-touch with the youth only to get their vote is just pathetic.

This November Mugabe aka Uncle B. is taking his musical career a little more serious dropping more than his previous one liners, this time he goes for it. Mugabe has not offered Zimbabwe anything new in the last 30 years and this is evident in his message on the song. He is still singing the same old song about colonialism and the British. According to the Zim government website “the song educates people, especially youths, about the ugly side of colonialism that saw many people losing their lives as a result of atrocities committed by the colonisers”. To make sure you get the message Uncle B. as given free copies of his soon chart topping disc to commuter operators to make sure he reaches his targeted audience and as a man with friends in the right places he has made sure it gets air play on radio and tv just before news bulletins……Clearly this man has nothing to offer.

Extract from the song…..

Mugabe narration……Mazuva iwayo vaizvarwa vaifunga kuti nyika inoiyi ndeye maBritish. Vamwe vakatotambira vakati ha hee chido chaMwari kuti maBritish atitonge . . . (In those days youths were of the mistaken belief that this country belonged to the British). Some even believed that they were under British colonial rule because of God’s will.

Mugabe singing …..”Toita sei nenyika yeRhodesia?/Toita Sei nenyika yeRhodesia? “Vazezuru vaida kutonga nyika, vaManyika vaida kutonga nyika, maNdebele aida kutonga nyika.”

What goes on to prove that this is a Government/ZANU PF project messing with our taxes is that Information and Publicity Minister Webster Shamu is the executive producer.

On the bright side Mugabe aka Uncle B. can turn to his music career once he loses the next election.

The <del>knives are</del> matches is out in ZANU PF, gone is the signature car accident , fires are the new way to get rid off those stumbling blocks. Gideon Gono and his family were unhurt in a farm blaze outside Harare. This comes weeks after General Solomon Mujuru was killed in a mysterious house fire that the police are still looking into. Forgive the people of being sceptical, here are two prominent figures:

One who was a thorn in Mugabe’s side as he questioned the President’s every move and did not hide his feelings about the old man not hanging up his boots enede up dead in a house fire that he could have escaped easily.

The other is the President’s Banker rumoured to have had an affair with the first Lady and currently at war with Saviour Kasukuwere over the ridiclous indegionousation laws (looting of business) who said “resign or we kick him out” think what you want but I think here Mr Kasukuwere was sending out a message and thanks to wiki leaks who also revealled just before the farm blaze that Gono was friends with Mugabe’s enemies and had told US Ambassador that Zanu PF hardliners for “making his job difficult”. The reasons above give some unhappy people cause to start a fire.

No one is immune to ZANU PF “killing machine” and Gidiot Gono should take this as a warning. Tread carefully. CIO don’t normally get it wrong maybe they sent in rookies this time and someone botched the job.

According to the powers that be, gone are the days when governement officials drove recklessly at high speeds in their mercedes benzs or 4×4 vehicles aiming for potholes trying to take out maPuma (Army armoured trucks) playing dodge ball with lamp posts and trees, now they just carelessly leave fire accelerants lying about on their farms waiting for mysterous accidents to happen….

The death of retired army General Solomon Tapfumaneyi Mujuru aka Rex Nhongo has sent the country into a state of shock with tongues wagging and for the first time in the murky politics of Zimbabwe the opposition can sit-out on this one.

A decorated liberation war hero General Solomon Mujuru will be remembered by all Zimbabweans as a true hero of the liberation struggle.

Though Joice Mujuru has come out and said that people should not jump to conclusions regarding her husband’s death the family want answers and are thinking of bringing in foreign investigators to look into this matter as those locally might interfere. If this was just an accident why the so many discrepencies, why a police investigation, surely the Fire Dept who turned up 3 hours late with no water have an investigation team to look into this.

I do not blame Zimbabweans for being sceptical about the General’s death, it was what we know, it was what we have come to accept, political figures who act like a dog with a bone die in mysterious accidents or are “bumped-off “, and one other thing we have come to accept is that no culprits are never brought to book as those responsible are “untouchable” and very ingenious in their ways. (List below, feel free to add to it)

The in-fighting within Zanu PF has intensified in recent years as the old man takes more flights to Asia to see his health team, Gen Mujuru has been backing his wife Joice to take over once Mugabe<del> retires “steps down”</del> dies. Vying for the same post is the Joint Operations Command Chair Emmerson Munangagwa who is known to be ruthless when it calls for it and the only one who really stands to benefit the most from the General death. In recent times Gen Mujuru believed aging Mugabe had become a political liability for Zanu PF and had made this known repeatedly resisting Mugabe’s election plans and becoming a thorn in Mugabe’s side.

The most intriguing thing about all this and I guess why a lot Zanu PFs would like anwsers to Who dunnit?…….. is they never expected one of their own to go in such a manner. Mugabe is going soon so the gloves are off.

3 days ago the Robert Mugabe left for Singapore, it must be <del>that prostate cancer</del> time for another routine check up (the cataract) and guess who is funding this trip …………….yes! the people of Zimbabwe. Once again Robert has dipped his hand in the cookie jar and helped himself. Mugabe still does not have confidence in the doctors back home, so off he goes to Singapore. The interesting thing about this trip is that Mugabe has accompanied his wife who is seeking treatment for what was described as a serious ailment (that makes 2 members of the Mugabe family who lack confidence in Zimbabwean Doctors).

Call me a sceptic if you want that’s your own opinion (you are entitled to it) but I think this is all rubbish. Let’s be serious here, although Grace has stayed away from the cameras since we learnt about the affair Mugabe is in Singapore for medical treatment and his team have run out of excuses, they can’t keep feeding the nation the same old nonsense every week. We saw it for ourselves at the SADC Troika Summit in Livingstone, Zambia where Mugabe arrived with an entourage of over 60 people; the man was wobbly on his feet and had to make use of a golf buggy. I thought to myself how cruel of ZANU PF to trouble a man of ill-health in his later years in such a way. Mugabe’s own spokesman George Charamba aka Nathaniel Manheru does not have clue why the President is in Singapore and I find this interesting. Charamba is Mugabe’s little lap dog and I find it hard to believe that he does not have a clue why his master is out of the country. In a way Charamba has let the cat out of the bag by speculating like a race track bettor, below are some of the reasons for the latest trip

Meeting up daughter in Singapore who is on attachment in China

Grace dislocated her hip (…….and she goes all the way to Singapore!)

Grace badly injured her back while exercising at a gym.

Grace developed some slight discomfort with her back after the birth of Chatunga

The writing is on the wall, why this man does not just take a back seat stop troubling himself and enjoy the very few days he has left is just madness, what is the point if every time he has a bad night he jets off to Singapore surely our coffers can not handle this.

Prime Minister Tsvangirai recently embarked on a tour of Southern Africa to try and “engage” SADC leaders in his vision for Zimbabwe, well his main priority is the “upcomming” elections that only Robert Mugabe knows when they are going to be held (how fair is that). The Prime Minister gets <del>10/10</del> 6/10 for effort, but you have to ask yourself “What is the Point?” Tsvangirai wants the SADC leaders aware of the the ongoing MDC arrests and torture of party officials and political activists. Talking about it is good but your audience is another thing.

SADC leaders have supported Mugabe for some time now something the Prime minister is well aware of, why he would embark on such a tour that is not going to yield any positive results is just beyond me, which is why I say for effort he get a few marks but trying to engage these other idiots is just a waste of time. Zimbabwe is in its current situation because of SADC thanks to them we have this ridiculous GNU in place, if SADC turned to the UN for help with Zimbabwe issues they will be admitting that the coaliton has failed and we all know they are not going to do that.

After all the teas, coffees and airmiles nothing has been achieved in Zimbabwe, SADC have done us more harm than good, Robert Mugabe and ZANU PF know very well where SADC stands when it comes their attitudes on Zimbabwe. Botswana President Ian Khama and the late Zambian President Levy Mwanawasa where the only SADC leaders to openly criticise Mugabe, the rest of them need to grow a pair. Tsvangirai does not have the respect of these regional leaders and I think he should leave them alone as they are not going to do anything to help him deliver democracy to Zimbabwe. SADC has failed Zimbabweans, miserably and its time we dealt with this our own way. In 2008 at the African Summit in Egypt Mugabe nailed it when he said the “Zimbabwean situation can only be solved by Zimabweans” and I believe its time to stop re-engaging these puppets and do more work at home. SADC under Mugabe’s instruction tied the hands of Tsvangirai, by signing up to the coalition he breathed “political life” into the geriatric, as the last kicks of the dying donkey where clearly visible. Before you know it Mugabe was back calling the shots backed by SADC. Any problems Tsvangirai had, he’d run off Zuma and in-turn Zuma would send one of his facilitaion teams who are still to come up with decent solutions for the way forward.

The minute Tsvangirai signed up to the coaliton he gave up his right to rally people who supported the Movement of Democratic Change against Mugabe and ZANU PF. Instead of being a solution he ended up being part of the problem. The reason why the International community is supporting the “rebels” in Lybia against the dictator Gaddafi is because <del>of the oil</del> the Arab League were fully behind the intervention, they were committed to UN security council resolution 1973. The people Zimbabwe will never get any help until SADC and the AU give the go ahead as they are in Mugabe’s pocket, The only way forward for this country is if people take matters into their own hands no Zuma, Msawati orGuebuza is going to come to our rescue.

The sooner we get out of this GPA the better, Mugabe has got Tsvangirai where he wants him in the corner with a bowl of milk. Tsvangirai needs to make noise on the international scene as regionally he will never get the support he craves. The Old boys club is not taking any new members and they will forever see him as a puppet for the West. He also has to drop this blowing hot and cold stance he has on Mugabe, he goes overseas and shouts about how nice Mugabe is and such a pleasure to work with, when he gets home he cries about how the marriage of convinience is not working and that he might pull out, pick one and run with it.

As you all know I am a BIG fan of President Robert Gabriel Mugabe, where would Zimbabwe be without good old Bob? Last week I was saddened to learn that the President had to take a commercial flight back to Singapore for another eye check-up following a prostate operation cataract operation. After all this man has done for Zimbabwe this is how we thank him, by shoving him on a commercial flight in his time of need to Singapore. This is no way to treat a senior citizen. Robert Mugabe deserves the best and only the best……….Pass me the sick bag!

The truth is Robert Mugabe’s failing health is ‘hurting Zimbabwe’ he is never available and this is affecting government business and operations, when he does make a show he sleeps all the time, (Biti complained about this recently) you really can’t blame an 87 year old man for snoozing through a boring 2-hour cabinet meeting. In the last month Mugabe has spent more time in Singapore than he has in Zimbabwe surely it’s cheaper for us to just have him move over there, that way he can see his medical team whenever he wants.

Mugabe jetting to Europe and America Singapore every time he needs medical attention says a lot about the quality of healthcare in Zimbabwe back in 2009 it was Dubai, either he has no faith in the healthcare system he helped destroy or this is something more serious than cataract operation. Here is a man who goes around preaching about indigenisation and that all is well in Zimbabwe but the minute he needs the doctor he runs off to Singapore, what is wrong with the eye doctors in Zimbabwe? South Africa has loads of eye doctors he could have just crossed the border. The truth is we all know the President is not well the George Charamabas can come out and deny it but this is something even Mugabe cannot fix, the writing is on the wall. He has put on a brave face in the last few days turning up for his 87th birthday celebrations and the poorly attended Sanctions March.

Let the battle to succeed Mugabe intensify, I’m sure Joyce Mujuru (Vice President) and Emmerson Mnangagwa (Defence Minister) rub their hands everytime he boards the commercial flight to Singapore.

[Update] Earlier this week Finance Minister Tendai Biti confirmed that everytime Mugabe jets off for his medical check-ups he withdraws from the treasury. Mugabe’s trips to Singapore costs the Zimbabwean tax payer U$3 million everytime he jumps on the plane and in the last 4 months alone it has cost us over U$12 million, compare that to a drive down the road to the Avenues Clinic, Parirenyatwa General Hospital (Sekuru Kaguvi Eye Unit- if indeed it was for a “routine cataract surgery”) or a trip over to SA. How this man can justify these expenses when his fellow civil servants and many other people find it hard to make ends meet is just beyond me. In the past I have commended Mr Biti on standing up to Mugabe’s whimperings for money to fund his personal ventures and I think now he should put his foot down.

Zanu PF have stripped the country of its resources and they have lined their pockets with the peoples wealth now Mugabe targets the the country’s coffers, when is this going to end.

Biti 1 – Mugabe 0

Tendai Biti the Minister of Finance has refused to fund Robert Mugabe’s private U$54m /year Scholarship Scheme. This is a victory on so many levels, Biti and his Ministry have stood up to Mugabe and so should more ministries headed by the opposition (Mrs Makone learn from this). For years Mugabe has robbed the treasury to fund this ZANU PF Scholarship Scheme that mainly benefits kids of those in his inner circle and those that have supported him over the years. They are rewarded with a Scholarship to Universities in South Africa. Mugabe a product of Fort Hare Universty himself decided to set this up sending students to the Universty at a time when Zimbabwe had one university, this has since been extended to other Universities in South Africa.

Why does the ordinary Zimbabwean have to fund Mugabe’s private scheme? Mudenge (Minister of High and Tertiary Education) is mad that Biti has decided on this move and said the President will find the money elswhere (Now we all know where that is going to come from don’t we Mr Mudenge) and so he should, either way we know the tax payer is going to end up paying for it, what are the chances of Mugabe going out there to get donors for his Scheme. I remember back in 2009 when 12 students lost their sholarship funding for being members of the MDC leaving all the Zanu-PF aligned students to carry on with their studies. This was a clear message to all students on the programme that should decide to support the oppostion your funding from the Zimbabwean Tax payer will be withdrawn. the students were afraid to return back to Zimbabwe to discuss the withdrawal of their funding as they knew they would be charged with treason.

With the economy on its knees and so many State Universitites in the country why should are we fund such a scheme. Higher education in Zimbabwe is deteriorating because of lack of funding with institutions failing to pay lecturers, yet the President wants to U$54 million to keep his friends happy.

If Mugabe believes in the country’s Higher Education so much why is he “funding” these kids to go across the border to study for degrees that are available in the country, doesn’t it make sense to send them to instutions within the country. Mugabe you took the farms and you have since moved onto the diamonds I’m sure you can bankroll this Scheme without our deeping your grubby hands in the countrys coffers. I’m sure Gushungo Estates has raked up enough profits to support these future Zanu-PF “commrades”.

Mr. Kalonji spent most of 2010 in Zimbabwe and I’m sure the hospitality afforded to him has got him a bit disillusioned. He has recently told international media that he does not condemn Robert Mugabe or the way he has treated his people over the years. Mr Kalonji a champion of black emancipation and empowerment thinks what Robert Mugabe is doing in Zimbabwe is for the betterment of the people.

I am a big fan of Mr. Kalonji and I enjoy his music but this is where we part ways, how can he not a condemn a man who has oppressed his own people to enrich those in his inner circle, where is the emancipation there? If Sizzla took some time to talk to average Zimbabweans he would know that the people voted him out of power and he forced his way back in. Just beacause Mugabe is anti-white, has absurd land reform programmes and is always taking shots at the West does not that make him the peoples champion.

Sizzla is a good artist and should stick to the music or risk losing your Zimbabwean fans, leave Zimbabwean politics to Zimbabweans. He has a warped view of the world, Mugabe anti-white and anti-western rhetorics are nothing to be celebrated Zimbabweans care about their day to day needs which the current government cannot satisfy. As a bona fide Bobo Shanti Mr Kalonji is well aware that dictatorship amongst your people goes against his teachings which leads me to think that maybe those rumours about being on the run from gun related charges brough against him in Jamaica were true and Mugabe simply offered a safe hideout. Sizzla’s mangament team should be doing their best to keep their artists well away from this dictator and advise him to stop singing praises about Mugabe as “his” people your fans fell differently.

Keep making that music – Praise Ye jah!

Why why why, if the people of Ivory Coast think they have it bad the worst is still to come, Thabo Mbeki is in Cote d’Ivoire<del datetime="2010-12-05T21:07:12+00:00"> to meditate the problem away</del> to mediate between Laurent Gbagbo and his rival Alassane Outtara, who are each claiming the presidency. Gbagbo has done a “Mugabe” and has refused to vacate the presidency. Africa is a huge continent with millions of people and the minute two politicians disagree on an election matter the African Union (AU) sends in Thabo Mbeki. Why Thabo Mbeki? Because this man resume speaks for itself when it comes to forming coalition govts and messing up a country he is the right man for the job.
Those of you who have been here before know how much love I have for this excuse of a politician. Thabo Mbeki is partly to blame for all the problems Zimbabwe is going through right now thanks to his mediating between Robert Mugabe and Morgan Tsvangirai which resulted in the formation of the current useless Coalition govt in Zimbabwe and now this man has been given another chance to replicate this diabolic nonsense in Ivory Coast.

I might be a bit biased but hey it’s my blog Mbeki was fired for for his political conspiracy to frame another useless mediator Jacob Zuma and his failed mediation in the Zimbabwe Crisis, the AU can do better.

Ivorians be scared be very scared.

Africa has a bunch of people who are capable of handling this situation and Thabo Mbeki should be the last person to be tasked with this. Ouattara has already been endorsed by the UN and neighbouring countries and should turn down any shiffty deals Mbeki offers him something the former South African President is good at.

Coalition governemnts do not work in Africa, they just prolong the current problems it’s hight time African leaders learnt to congratulate the winner have a beer and move on.

Its time Zimbabweans forgot about Southern African Development Community (SADC) and took matters into their own hands, there is no point waiting for some else to clean up your mess for you. This is a Zimbabwean issue and for many years now we have set back and waited for someone else to sort it out for us and now it’s clear this is not going to happen. This time this Zimbabwean problem can only be solved by Zimbabweans. By cancelling or not showing up to the SADC Troika meeting in Botswana, Zambian President Rupiah Banda and the Mozambique President Armando Guebuza have confirmed that they are fully backing Mugabe and do not care about what Zimbabweans are going through. It was Southern African Development Community (SADC) that gave Mugabe another lifeline when they came up with the Global Political Agreement (GPA). SADC being involved in this whole process has not improved the Zimbabwean situation at all, it has just made it worse. SADC leaders unlawfully sabotaged the SADC Tribunal undermined the right of citizens to access justice this was to appease Robert Mugabe and ZANU PF enabling them to carry on with looting of farms.

Zimbabweans are now asking what are the principles and values of SADC, is it not their regional duty to promote peace, prosperity and human rights within the Southern African States if all they do is support the old regime of Robert Mugabe. It was they who laid out the principles of the GPA and it is the same organisation that let lets Mugabe flout the terms of the GPA, something that is only benefiting ZANU PF.

By now the Prime Minister should realise that SADC’s “tea” meetings do not bring about any change to Zimbabwe nor will they make any difference, he can run to Jacob Zuma as many times as he wishes but we all know the Southern bloc leaders are fully behind Mugabe and ZANU PF. The minute SADC reprimands Mugabe and ZANU PF over the terms over the GPA Mugabe will throw his toys out the pram and pull out just like he did with the Commonwealth. Zimbabweans had put their faith in Jacob Zuma but it has turned out that this is even more useless to us than Thabo “wet towel” Mbeki. If Zuma was up to it he could end this mess in Zimbabwe but he decided to go down in history books as the man who could have.

The MDC and the people of Zimbabwe should not count or put their faith on SADC any more as this organisation has failed them, turning to them will only make our situation worse as their aim to is preserve Mugabe and that they have done a brilliant job.

As long as SADC and the African Union are saying the situation is okay in Zimbabwe the United Nations cannot intervene and this how they have let us down. We can sit around and say The Prime Minister should not have jumped into bed with the devil but it’s a bit too late for that now. It’s time to go back to the drawing board and right all the wrongs for ourselves.

I lie, my left arm as I right handed) to be a fly on the wall in the Mugabe household this week, reason for this, just to witness the look on the old man’s face when he found out the news had been broken to the world about the love triangle. Did Grace and Gidiot get it on, only they (and the late Chademana) will ever know. Mugabe has himself to blame for being in this union with a woman who is much younger than him, a woman who was once his chief typist, a woman he had kids with while Sally (his 1st wife) was battling for dear life on her death bed. Most are happy that Mugabe is having a taste of his own medicine after all that is the basis the relationship was built on. The people of Zimbabwe loved Sally with all their hearts not for being old Bob’s Mrs but for the person she was, her contributions to the wider society and her charitable work for the people of Zimbabwe.

In our hearts Dis-Grace will never replace the real Mai Mugabe, this woman has been surrounded by controversy from day one and Zimbabweans don’t buy her story, she had infidelity written all over when she was presented to us and she still does. Dis-Grace has been accused of being a woman of easy virtue and has never been able to shake this off, remember the mysterious death of Peter Pamire, James Makamba’s exile the demotion of Bob’s top bodyguard Assistant Commissioner Winston Changara and many other such stories, is the old man really built to deal with such matrimonial stress. Grace has never been a popular figure in Zimbabwe and I doubt she ever will, these cannot all be false stories why would Mr Makamba flee the country if they were rumours. Dis-Grace has not done herself any favours in the past, the fast life she lives the appetite for material things, the looting of farms and diamonds and the astonishing speed at which she spends taxpayers money. This is not only embarrassing for Bob, this is damaging for the whole country and we could do without a bedhopping 1st Lady. She has proved time and time again that her only talents lie in spending our country’s riches. It so happens that the two people involved in this have shady pasts Gidiot is no stranger to affairs, (my heart goes out to Hellin his long suffering wife) a well known Harare bedhopper ropes them in with his wealth just ask Miss Zimbabwe and Miss Malaika winner, Brita Masalethulini who was 16 years his junior at the time of the affair, this time he has gone for a much more riskier conquest.

Though the rumour mill was rife in Harare about these two it took a South African newspaper to break this story as local papers knew where they will end up if they were to publish such a story about the scandalous 1st Lady. Newspapers and Journalists are well aware of libelous journalism, they are not going to sit around and concoct such stories, there is no smoke without fire. Some have said that the affair accusations are part of a campaign to discredit Dis-Grace, but I say what more can be said or done to harm her image which she has not done herself. Why has Mugabe and the CIO gone to such great lengths of proving and presenting a dodgy death certificate of his late bodyguard Cain Chademana who knew of the affair. According to the SA Times Chademana was poisoned because he knew of the affair and hid it from the President. If there was no affair they should have just carried on life as normal but no, there have been death threats to some local newspapers editors who they thought were going to run the story, a death certificate with so many holes, a colander would be impressed, all this to try and cover up the affair.

Mugabe is the one who has come out the fool in this whole saga, he is the one who encouraged his wife to work close with the family banker only for him to regret . The old man has his own reasons for denying the affair and putting on a brave face as he carries on plotting against the South African tabloid. The two lovers have denied the affair and have refused to go public with this, to them I say don’t bother we sort of get the picture, there is absolutely no need for you to hold a press conference just let us know how its going once in a while

Munya Chidzonga comes second in the Big Brother Africa reality show and Mugabe rewards him with a cheque for USD300k. There has been a lot of talk and controvesy around this donation to Mr Chidzonga. I do not have anything against this young man he has “achieved” a lot in a very short space of time but USD300K for getting the 1st loser’s place in a reality show and for him to be rewarded so generously in a country ravaged by poverty and social injustices is just insane. In Zimbabwe some have dubbed this “compensation for depression”, as people who have made this possible for Mr Chidzonga set-up a trauma fund, they are scared the actor will spiral into depression. I do understand this money did not come from the taxpayers and people are free to spend their money as they please , but I ask myself why didnt Philip Chiyangwa and his business associates who came up with this money do the same for those struggling families who are unable feed or send their kids to school. There are teachers, nurses and other civil servants who could do with a little bit of financial help, yes those people who actually contribute to the rest of society through what they do for a living. I do not know Munya personally but I can tell you this I dont think financially he is doing bad. This money could have transformed a lot of lives, they are AIDS orphans and street kids who could have benefited from this but who cares.

This is what is wrong with Zimbabwe, priorities are all over the place the gap between the rich and the poor is so big some of these idiots dont care what the rest of the country is going through. If the country was financially stable and there was no wide spread povertyg Mr Chiyangwa could have give Munya a million dollars and I would not give a rats ass.

Its clear, Chiyangwa craves attention and wants to show off his wealth at any chance given even in situations that make him look like a complete idiot he will dive in. This time Philip Chiyangwa decided to rope in his uncle Robert Mugabe to milk the attention surrounding Munya (elections round the corner) and present Munya with the cheque. It is reported that Munya’s wife is reltated to Grace Mugabe and that his family has close ties to ZANU PF, so really this has worked out for both parties. Mugabe helps out a fellow member of his extended familly and he seems to be doing the right thing by stealing the lime light.

The sad thing about this is as ZANU PF gets more and more desparate these media whoring stunts will become more frequent.

Prime Minister Tsvangirai

I don’t know what planet the Prime Minister lives on, I have no idea why he has only decided to come to his senses now October 2010, I guess 2 years is a long time to mull over the relationship. Mugabe, ZANU PF and their supporters have have been at it for a very long time the corruption and violence continues. Teaching old dogs new tricks is a no no and we have seen it with the ZANU PF there was no way they were going to honour the GPA and if the PM ever thought they were going to be equal partners they were disillusioned. ZANU PF will hold on to power no matter the out come of the forthcoming elections, if he is in doubt he should give Mr D. Mutasa a call who recently said that the MDC will never rule Zimbabwe.

For over two years now Tsvangirai has been portraying Mugabe as nice guy easy to deal with and such a joy to work with and together they were going to save the world. I have no idea what spell the PM was under. When the GPA was signed we all knew this was going to be a bumpy ride for the MDC and Tsvangirai. Mugabe only agreed to the GPA because he was going to use the MDC as a crutch and indeed he did. He had the MDC flying around the world begging for aid and cleaning up the mess he had created back home. It has taken this long for PM to realise that Mugabe is not a man of his word, he promised all will be transparent and they will work together but we find that he still appoints friends and family to high positions in the Government with the consent of the PM. The PM is hardly involved in government matters or decision making. For over 2 years Tsvangirai has been playing Mr Nice Guy I dont know if he was trying to please Robert but this was a wrong move. ZANU are ruthless and desperate they are not going to play by the rules, you have to fight fire with fire. They bullied their way back into power after losing the rigged elections and you think they are not going to put up any resistance.

Tsvangirai claims he has had enough of the appointments of Ambassadors and governors without his say, the way ZANU carry on like they are not in a coalition, what is he going to do about it? ….write another letter to Jacob Zuma or run off to SADC who are now clearly supporting Mugabe’s campaign. The PM has been incensed by the Roy Bennett issue and Mugabe knows this, he is holding out as this is his personal vendetta against Mr Bennett. Analysts have often viewed the MDC as passengers on a bus with no idea of their destination and having no say how the ride ends…….they cannot be far from the truth.

The PM needs to realise that the GPA is just a front for ZANU to carry on, they do not care about what plans the MDC have or what they have to say. As usual Jonathan Moyo has something “smart” to say on the PM recent comments he recently come out and said that the coalition have delivered and all is okay describing the PM and his party as disgruntled employees who where after government jobs but did not get them. How the PM can stand aside while this abuse carries on is just beyond me.

The last time I visited the Heroes Acre I was a wee lad in Primary School grade 6 I think it was, from the time our School bus entered the shrine to time we left I was in awe of this magnificent place, the beauty of black granite stone and the real reason we were there, the Heroes. Its one thing learning about these fallen heroes in school its another visiting their place of rest. Back then everyone laid to rest deserved their heroe status. No-one (according to me) had been in the media for the wrong reasons, no-one had been on a looting spree, none of them had shamed themselves in any scams or were responsible for the suffering of their people, they were all deserving. >>>>>>>>>Fast Forward to 2010 you find some shady characters laid to rest here, nolonger is the Heroes Acre a place for Heroes but for top ZANU PF officials. Prof Mutambara was right when he said that the Zanu-PF Politburo had no jurisdiction to determine national hero status to national icons, who are they to decide? Just because Heroes Acre was built while they were in power doesn’t give them the right. Mugabe and ZANU have recently denied Gibson Sibanda of the MDC-M Heroe Status why… clearly because he represented the opposition his contribution to the Liberation struggle was overlooked but Mugabe was quick to grant this satus to his sister Sabina and brother-in-law Reward Marufu. Not all Heroes back this regime, some do not support them at all and I guarantee that they will not even get a state assisted burial that is the price you pay for jumping ship and as long the ZANU PF Politiburo is tasked with such decisions you will never see any members of the opposition laid to rest at the shrine.

ZANU PF are nolonger relevant, they lost the last electons and bullied their way into staying in power, when are they going to get it that most Zimbabweans do not want them making decisons on their behalf. ZANU PfFis a Political Party not the Government, things change is this is the way they operated in 1983 its time to wake up an smell the coffee time have moved on. They have looted so many farms over the years why not turn one of them into ZANU PF shrine and I promise you you will nver see such posts from me, Leave Heroes Acre for true Heroes people who have positively contributed to Zimbabwean Society. We have to move on in 30 years time there will be no more liberation “heroes” what are we going to do then…….shut the gates to the shrine…..I dont think so. Its time ZANU PF was relieved of making such decicions as we all know what happens when they decide for us.
