This is what happens to new recruits in the ZRP as part of their Training. What is done to them in training they then put to use in the field. If they treat each other in this manner what more a group of civilians. This thuggery is beyond belief, does Augustine Chihuri approve of this? Maybe he does as one of training officers clearly states that they are onto “Syllabus E”. According to SW Radio this footage is only a couple of months old. The Home Affairs Ministry should be ashamed of this. How does such babarianism contribute to serving the community?

67 years after some heinous crimes against the Jews, World War II war criminals are still being hunted. Most of those still alive are in their late eighties and ninties. Is it right to carry on hunting such people, I say it is justice shall be be served. After executing Saddam they went for such perpertators as ”Chemical Ali” (as he was better known) and several officials of Saddam’s government over the 1999 killings of Shia Muslims in Baghdad and genocide against the Kurds in 1988 and the crushing of a Shia uprising in 1991.

Milosevic was charged with crimes against humanity and genocide amoungst others. Why arent these services also extended to African dictators and those that do the dirty work for them, do the African people not deserve justice.

Some are still clinging onto power as they are afraid of the future, staying in power is their only savior but not for long. All this is going to come to an end and you will have to answer, the ruling party continues to protect them from accountability. In shona we have a saying;

“Chisingaperi chinoshura musoro wegudo chava chinokoro”

In the case of Zimbabwe it should be done sooner rather than later, Human Rights abuses should be investigated and those responsble should be brought to book for abuse of power. Zimbabweans are angrier now than they have been before the sooner the circus leaves town the better. There is no way famillies are going to forget about their loved ones who were murdered or tortured by this regime, it is going to be very difficult to forget about yesterday and move on as if nothing happened. Expecting the Zimbabwean people to forget what Mugabe has done to them in the last fews years is wrong and so is failing to seek justice. It is for the victims, both living and dead, that we must seek justice and those that were part of system, joined the system and did not stand up to such a system should face the music.

Apperantly the President as Head of Sate has already been guaranteed immunity from prosecution for any crimes committed during his 29 year rule as part of their agreement to work together and this will be outlined in the new constitution. This is Morgan’s way of letting bygones be bygones he forgets the violence that was used against him and that is still carried out on his supporters. In which society do rape victims go through therapy with those that raped them.

Many Zimbabweans who left the country for security reasons cannot wait to get back home but many are not able to do so until they can be guaranteed safety and as long as certain individuals are still calling the shots safety and freedom can only be dream in Zimbabwe. Many thought to GNU was going to restore freedom and constutional rights but this has not happened.

Ghandi Mudzingwa, Chris Dhlamini and Shadreck Manyere have “escaped” with their lives some memebrs of MDC were not so lucky, they have been through a lot in the last months. These men have experienced the wrath of Mugabe’s regime at first hand, the abduction, the unlawful detention, the charges that have been brought against them and not forgetting the mental trauma and torture they have had to endure.

These men belong to the MDC Party and held top postions within the party and yet they are going through this alone, instead of fighting for luxury cars and laptops the party should have been fighting for their freedom. Accoding to Ghandi Mudzingwa, Giles Mutsekwa of MDC who is now co-Minister of Home Affairs has not done much to try and secure freedom for them and if a man in such a position syas he has his hands tied then who is going to come to their recue. Maybe for Mr Mutsekwa this is a big job or has been told to stay out of it, he knows this very well as he himself has been detained and accused of plotting against Mugabe. Distancing yourself (Mr Mutsekwa) from this whole situation is very shameful and you should not be fit to lead the people.

MDC has now been sucked in ZANU PF and are now operating under ZANU rules. As these men belong to the party surely what they are being accused of should be brought against the Party as well. According to Ghandi the abduction and torture was a collective effort of CIO, ZRP, Civil Military Junta and the Military Intelligence Department, this is way to big for the Prime Minister or anyone who thinks can lend a hand to the detainees. These men have been used as an example and I bet you no one is going to be prosecuted this as it has come from the top. Zimbabweans backed the MDC Party to do the right thing but if they stand and watch such inhuman treatment of fellow members i think they will soon find themselves with very few supporters.

Prime Minister Tsvangirai is where he is becasue of the Zimbabwean people, reason people voted for him was to get rid of the dictator not to schmooze up to him and be friends. If he is not careful he will soon learn why they say politics is a dirty game.

The Economic situation in Zimbabwe has finally brought the the Education Engine to a halt, kids are not attending school as the authorites keep moving the opening dates. Schools have been on break since begining of December and may open as far into the year as March 2008 saw more distrptions than any other year with “elections”, teachers strikes, availability of resources, the cholera outbreak and various other unheard of excuses and unprecedented challenges.

Any Zimbabwean who was educated in the system prior to Mugabe’s madness would tell you how they were proud of the Education they recieved. Now its a shame the schools are there but not much is going on. We always say our children are our future but in this case they are not priority. This is the time when the Government should make sure that amidst all the madness at least the schools are open and the kids are looked after. This is the birth of the Lost Generation, this government will stop at nothing till the country is buried. The Main reason why the schools stay shut is funding from the government, nothing new in Zimbabwe funds have been diverted and this was not for a good reason. Grade 7 results are still not out as the markers have not been paid, the excuses go on and on.

Private schools were immune to some of the outrageous excuse from the Mugabe’s Government as they managed to stay operational but this January Mugabe has decide to send in the Army and make sure they stay shut untill he gives the word. Yes people the Army, just a few months ago they were at the recieving end now thay are making sure kids don’t make it to school anyone seen to give the go ahead on opening schoo;s risks jail time or the norm a good beeating. Private schools have been a sore subject in Zimbabwe over the years, most if not all are self funded and there should be no reason why they should remain shut if the problem is cash flow to the Government funded schools. I guess this is a way of getting back to them and reminding then that this is Zimbabwe and you cannot show too much independence or self governance.

Just when you think it cant get any worse than this Bob pulls one from under you, who would have thought the leader of a country would allow such to go on in their own country.

We all know this is part of Robert Mugabe Grand destructive plan, they misappropriate funds dont open schools distrupt the Academic year, dont pay the teachers, shut down some schools, semd in the armyto intinidate those that are able to operate that way no one goes to school and no one gets a proper education and no new people with bright ideas to take over from him. What is going to become kids of this generation without a proper education, struggling economy and no faith in the in the system.

I am surprised Robert Mugabe did not turn up in a superman suit because that is exactly who he thinks he is Mr Untouchable, he could have had anyone of his hangers on attend the meeting, if the meeting was held in Africa I can bet you anything he would not have turned up but because its in Rome he shows up just to rub it in their faces. This man is obsessed with showing off how much power he has at all costs; don’t mind what is going on Zimbabwe or his people being butchered in neighbouring South Africa he is off on a jolly. The International community entertains this man while his paopel suffer, people are suffering of hunger and human rights abuse and you let this man break bread with you.

Below his reaction……

Minister of Food: Boss we have been invited to the United Nations Summit.

Robert Mugabe: Tell them I am busy thanks to Tsvangirai’s nonsense we have to prepare for elections again and you know what I mean by “prepare”, hey has my package arrived from China yet?

Minister of Food: I am not too sure Boss I will ask the Minister of Weapons or bet yet the War Vets will have a low down on that, they have been itchin. So what exactly do you want me to tell the UN.

Robert Mugabe: You and a bunch of friends can go, What is the Summit all about anyway? Is it here in Africa?

Minister of Food: It’s about Food Sir and it is being held in Rome, Italy.
