Before Zuma came to power he was a staunch Mugabe critic and we all could not wait for the man to get into office. We could not wait for the burial of “wet towel” Mbeki’s Quiet Diplomacy Policy and the way he was pussyfooting around issues over the border, Mandela had not done much either but more of that some other time……Zuma also criticised Mbeki on how he had handled the whole Zimbabwe issue. Many looked at him as our “savior” from Geriatric but nearly a year on we are still looking for the magic. Don’t get me wrong I know Zuma has got his own domestic issues and the world cup to worry about, I didn’t expect him to swoop into Zimbabwe in his Superman cape but not putting any pressure on Mugabe has not helped matters.

Ian Kharma President of Botswana is the only Leader with a pair in Southern Africa, the Late Zambian President Mwanawasa was another one who did not have a soft spot for Bob and we all thought Zuma was another but it was just farce to feed his campaign. I hope he has one up sleeve because we all feel a bit fooled by him.

JZ once called ZANU PF ministers “adolescent” for a walkout they staged and promised not to follow policies of his predecessor. When his daughter Gugulethu married (MDC-T) Welshman Ncube’s son Wesley I thought for the sake of the inlaws getting along. JZ was going to go in on Mugabe. I think Mugabe was aware of Zuma comming for him but managed to woo him with his charm (didn’t know it still worked). The people of Zimbabwe do not want another Mbeki we do not want another South African President cosy with Mugabe regardless of how long he has been in power. Zuma better act now !

The circus is back in town once again…..Tsvangirai has recently led a boycott, he plans to stay away from “dishonest and unreliable” Mugabe and ZANU PF until a few issues have been resolved, I’m guessing the Bennett Case broke the camel’s back. I have been wondering how long it was going to take to reach this point. Mugabe at 85yrs is not goin to change especially for a man like Tsvangirai. Mugabe has his own ideas and its hight time MDC Came to realise this, they have worked very hard since the GNU and now thinks its time to carry own his way of dealing with issues.

Recently Zanu have been back to their old self with Webster Shamu appointing his army friends to state media statutory boards, proving to us that ZANU and the army are still in power, Brigadier Mujaji thieving crops and taking over the Locks farm in Karoi so that his wife sister to Monica Chinamasa (wife of Justice Chinamasa) can happily live as neighbours. Their sillyness has even spread to South Africa were they have withdrawn scholarships financed b the taxpayer to 10 students because they “associate” with the MDC the list goes on……

Tsvangirai needs to think hard on this walkin back into the lion’s den is not the answer, he has got to understand that Mugabe is just takin him for a fool. Zanu will carry on their mission to destroy the country with or without MDC

Over the years Mugabe and his top “followers” have been responsible for some heinous crimes in Zimbabwe but we have never heard of any arrests of top government officials. Those ZANU PF officials who have been accused of crimes have walked free as they have turned to friends in the right places. Murder, corruption, domestic violence, intimidation, abduction the list goes on they have done the lot. In recent weeks MDC officials have had been arrested “laughable crimes” and because some of them have been charged they are now unable to stand for parliament.

This is part of Mugabe’s greater plan to undermine and discredit the other half of the coalition Government as petty thieves and rowdy violent hooligans in suits something members of ZANU are not.Elections are around the corner and ZANU PF are putting in the work, you can’t blame them for tryin after all they did lose last time around and bullied their way to stay. As the geriatrics fall by the wayside this we all know is their last run and they cannot afford to be caught sleeping so the arrests are a good start for them. If Tsvangirai ever thought this was Team playing with Zanu then he definitely is not the right man for the job, we all saw this from a mile away. The Prime Minister popularity is already on the wane with Zimbabweans both at home and abroad because of his associations. He is so focused on getting Mugabe’s approval he does not see the big sharp knife Mugabe is stabbing him with in the back.

If you have an exit strategy out of this coalition circus it is time to bring out Mr PM.

The arrests will carry on and ZANU PF will step it up as we get closer to elections. There is a reason why they held onto the control of the police force, because without the police they won’t get too far.

Is Sekai Holland rocking Mugabe and Tvsangirai’s boat? Earlier this week she claimed that there were new threats of violence, this time Zanu PF has gone as far as to maintaining a “Hit list” of MDC Member to assassinate. Having being at the recieving end of the almighty ZANU PF she knows it all too well. In her own words “No-one feels safe in Zimbabwe. No-one, and I mean no-one. We have not reached a ceasefire. We are still at the point where people have their guns cocked.”

There have been claims that Mugabe has lost control of the War Veterans and the Militia Youth but has he, if they are on a payroll doesn’t this mean they are paid to carry-out certain tasks. MDC members are getting threating phone calls to warn them of things to come.

In the interest of a peaceful inclusive government should ZANU PF really sit back and let this go on if Power-sharing was at the top of the agenda they should be controlling those making these calls.

Most Zimbabweans are worrid that MDC has been sucked into ZANU PF and Prime Minister Tsvangirai is not instilling confidence into his supporters, he needs to let them know that all is going to be alright. He keeps sayin we will not go back on the agreement when he is well aware that for him to pull out of the elections the last time it was because of ZANU PF violence. The Well oiled ZANU PF violnce machine can be kick started at short notice and mr Mtsvangirai has got to be ready for that. He said over and over again that he does not trust Robert Mugabe with this in mind I hope he does not let down his supporters.

These men have experienced the wrath of Mugabe’s regime at first hand, the abduction, the unlawful detention, the charges that have been brought against them and not forgetting the mental trauma and torture they have had to endure.

These men belong to the MDC Party and held top postions within the party and yet they are going through this alone, instead of fighting for luxury cars and laptops the party should have been fighting for their freedom. Accoding to Ghandi Mudzingwa, Giles Mutsekwa of MDC who is now co-Minister of Home Affairs has not done much to try and secure freedom for them and if a man in such a position syas he has his hands tied then who is going to come to their recue. Maybe for Mr Mutsekwa this is a big job or has been told to stay out of it, he knows this very well as he himself has been detained and accused of plotting against Mugabe. Distancing yourself (Mr Mutsekwa) from this whole situation is very shameful and you should not be fit to lead the people.

MDC has now been sucked in ZANU PF and are now operating under ZANU rules. As these men belong to the party surely what they are being accused of should be brought against the Party as well. According to Ghandi the abduction and torture was a collective effort of CIO, ZRP, Civil Military Junta and the Military Intelligence Department, this is way to big for the Prime Minister or anyone who thinks can lend a hand to the detainees. These men have been used as an example and I bet you no one is going to be prosecuted this as it has come from the top. Zimbabweans backed the MDC Party to do the right thing but if they stand and watch such inhuman treatment of fellow members i think they will soon find themselves with very few supporters.

Prime Minister Tsvangirai is where he is becasue of the Zimbabwean people, reason people voted for him was to get rid of the dictator not to schmooze up to him and be friends. If he is not careful he will soon learn why they say politics is a dirty game.

Arthur Mutambara who at one time I had thought maybe just maybe was the right guy to lead the MDC Party has just done it for me.

Only Robert Mugabe could have pulled this one off a -One Man Election-, when is this man going to stop!!!! You would have thought after Tsvangirai pulled out of the run-off Bob would thought oh well I’m old this saves me a lot of work, let me stop campaigning (call off the War Vets, Millitia, Army, Police, etc) and carry on running (oh sorry ruining) the country or prepare my Egypt Speech. This has been a One Man Race for some time now, If Mugabe had had his own way he would have made it a Party State from the get go, not that he did not try. Democrcy has been a Front in Zimbabwe looking back it never really existed, Mugabe is the morden day Adolf Hitler (Yes I said it, I will say it agan Mugabe is the morden day Adolf Hitler) he might not have intentions of taking over the world but I think we can safely say we have heard his foreign policy over and over and over and over. As he has gotten older and older and less wiser he has adopted and established this totalitarian and fascist dictatorship. Bob you never cease to amaze me. He has been normal all along I just dont know what gotten into him maybe he has just realised that politics is relly boring and this is his sadistic way of spicing up things, you never know what he is goin to do next. Yes now as he had warned us before “Only God Can stop me “NEWSFLASH” Bob – Not only is he going to stop you soon he is also going to judge you- You have been warned. To say the School yard bully has bullied his way to the front of the queue is an understatement.

Why Robert Why Please go, you have proved that you can be tough one to crack but your time is nigh.

You only had five days to go ……………..No doubt Mugabe and his cronies are out celebrating right now, all the violence and intimidation has paid off, Morgan and his boys have decided to hand victory on a plate, is a this good result for ZANU PF or what!

This is exactly what ZANU has been towards and hey !!!! Morgan you had to press on regardless there was a reason why people were voting for you they want change but for you to pull out so close to the finish line is absurd you are letting people down. Going against ZANU is no easy ride, we all know what they are capable of, free and Fair elections are never heard of in Zimbabwe so what has changed this time surely the election results (though they took time) your Party got the last time were an indication of things to come, you did better than any opposition Party (if there has ever been any after the ZAPU Days) in the history of Zimbabwean Politics. Things have got so bad in Zimbabwe that you did have a chance at the cup, Mugabe has no place in Zimbabwe anymore, you giving up now is just a blow to the people.

At least taking part in the elections would have been another step towards attempting to right this situation regardless of the election result. Mugabe and his Party have pulled every excuse in their Cheating Manual it would have been interesting to find out what they would have said after a 2nd defeat. You have armed ZANU to carry on with their senseless way of ruling and destroying lives and as this carries on Zimbabwe will always be in the crisis its in this fuelling Zanu reign of terror, every now and again I think how bad can it get and it gets worse .

Us Zimbabweans are constantly being told by our current “leader ” that if we do not back him we are handing the country back to the colonialists. Now how many of us belief this? No one really wants to go back to those days and Zimbabweans today will not let this happen in a way he is really insulting our intelligence as a nation. What Zimbabweans want is change, change the way they live today, Social and Economic change is what is needed. There are countries that have had civil war and been ravaged by war for years and they don’t live like Zimbabweans. Colonialist are not welcomed in Zimbabwe and so is a Power hungry mad Tyrant that chooses to starve and watch his own people suffer. The people of Zimbabwe do not want to be colonised again and at the same time they are not fools , the President and his Party have got to stop with the silly excuses we do not want much we just want Peace and the economy put back to what it was before. Stop pointing fingers Robert.

In his quest to get more than 20 votes in the coming elections Robert has told the nation that he will step down once he knows the country is safe from hungry foreigners trying to destroy it. NEWS FLASH BOB you have already done that yourself and you did not need any help……….the way I see it he just wants people to think that if we vote for him, he hands over power to one of his ZANU People and presto everything returns to normal again and Zimbabwe is a happy nation, this is a dream….he wants people to vote for him, he wins and guess what HE STAYS IN POWER. The intimidation running up to the elections this time is unbelievable, something that the nation has never experienced the blood is on your hands; yes YOU who believe in torturing your own people, set your people free. This is a shameful Campaign of Violence and how those who order these killings and beatings sleep at night only they know, you will wake up one day when Robert Mugabe has gone and God Will be your only Judge and let’s hope that is in the near future. Its one thing to watch your own people suffer from hunger due to your socio-economic policies it’s another to kill and maim them. Your own fellow African Leaders are begging you to halt the violence some have been quiet up until now as the whole world is now looking in on your worst time ever.

Sorry folks I have been glued to the airwaves, not much is happening after the elections but you cannot miss out on a briefing. MDC did better than ever before proving they are a clear threat to the current regime but we all know Mugabe and ZANU are not going to give in just like that, they are not going to hand over power just like that. MDC should have been better prepared; they know there is nothing like a fair and free election. Personally I was surprised that there was violence leading to the elections it was too good to be true, War vets (are they still around) and Youth Militia are normally employed to encouraged the masses to turn out and vote for Mugabe. It is widely believed that come 2nd round they will be out in full force for the inevitable reinstatement of the lifelong President. MDC has done well but well is not good enough when you are up against such, ZANU is accusing them of cheating (Pot and kettle comes to mind) and would like the votes recounted in some areas is this all a gimmick to delay matters while they regroup to really show that they are not going anywhere. Zanu is taking time delaying all, pulling resources together and all they can to stop MDC from move into the State House. I can tell you now it will take a miracle to stop this regime going back into Power, over the years Mugabe has led his country in all sorts of hardship to prove to the west that he is going to die in Power and no one is going to stop him, conceding to MDC is not part of his plan he will not let the West have their way with him it’s a case of “Come and Get Me”. If Zanu and Mugabe force their way to stay in will there be foreign intervention to free the people of Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe was on the brink of change and looking forward to moving on but was this just part of the plan as all is now in limbo and no one knows what is going on. After all Zimbabweans have been through one would think that Mugabe was not going to get any votes let alone this to go for a 2nd round. In the past the opposition has been accused of being disorganised and not being up to the challenge, many believed they were not a threat to the ruling party but come on people can things get any better under the current Regime, new blood is needed.
