Biti 1 – Mugabe 0

Tendai Biti the Minister of Finance has refused to fund Robert Mugabe’s private U$54m /year Scholarship Scheme. This is a victory on so many levels, Biti and his Ministry have stood up to Mugabe and so should more ministries headed by the opposition (Mrs Makone learn from this). For years Mugabe has robbed the treasury to fund this ZANU PF Scholarship Scheme that mainly benefits kids of those in his inner circle and those that have supported him over the years. They are rewarded with a Scholarship to Universities in South Africa. Mugabe a product of Fort Hare Universty himself decided to set this up sending students to the Universty at a time when Zimbabwe had one university, this has since been extended to other Universities in South Africa.

Why does the ordinary Zimbabwean have to fund Mugabe’s private scheme? Mudenge (Minister of High and Tertiary Education) is mad that Biti has decided on this move and said the President will find the money elswhere (Now we all know where that is going to come from don’t we Mr Mudenge) and so he should, either way we know the tax payer is going to end up paying for it, what are the chances of Mugabe going out there to get donors for his Scheme. I remember back in 2009 when 12 students lost their sholarship funding for being members of the MDC leaving all the Zanu-PF aligned students to carry on with their studies. This was a clear message to all students on the programme that should decide to support the oppostion your funding from the Zimbabwean Tax payer will be withdrawn. the students were afraid to return back to Zimbabwe to discuss the withdrawal of their funding as they knew they would be charged with treason.

With the economy on its knees and so many State Universitites in the country why should are we fund such a scheme. Higher education in Zimbabwe is deteriorating because of lack of funding with institutions failing to pay lecturers, yet the President wants to U$54 million to keep his friends happy.

If Mugabe believes in the country’s Higher Education so much why is he “funding” these kids to go across the border to study for degrees that are available in the country, doesn’t it make sense to send them to instutions within the country. Mugabe you took the farms and you have since moved onto the diamonds I’m sure you can bankroll this Scheme without our deeping your grubby hands in the countrys coffers. I’m sure Gushungo Estates has raked up enough profits to support these future Zanu-PF “commrades”.

I lie, my left arm as I right handed) to be a fly on the wall in the Mugabe household this week, reason for this, just to witness the look on the old man’s face when he found out the news had been broken to the world about the love triangle. Did Grace and Gidiot get it on, only they (and the late Chademana) will ever know. Mugabe has himself to blame for being in this union with a woman who is much younger than him, a woman who was once his chief typist, a woman he had kids with while Sally (his 1st wife) was battling for dear life on her death bed. Most are happy that Mugabe is having a taste of his own medicine after all that is the basis the relationship was built on. The people of Zimbabwe loved Sally with all their hearts not for being old Bob’s Mrs but for the person she was, her contributions to the wider society and her charitable work for the people of Zimbabwe.

In our hearts Dis-Grace will never replace the real Mai Mugabe, this woman has been surrounded by controversy from day one and Zimbabweans don’t buy her story, she had infidelity written all over when she was presented to us and she still does. Dis-Grace has been accused of being a woman of easy virtue and has never been able to shake this off, remember the mysterious death of Peter Pamire, James Makamba’s exile the demotion of Bob’s top bodyguard Assistant Commissioner Winston Changara and many other such stories, is the old man really built to deal with such matrimonial stress. Grace has never been a popular figure in Zimbabwe and I doubt she ever will, these cannot all be false stories why would Mr Makamba flee the country if they were rumours. Dis-Grace has not done herself any favours in the past, the fast life she lives the appetite for material things, the looting of farms and diamonds and the astonishing speed at which she spends taxpayers money. This is not only embarrassing for Bob, this is damaging for the whole country and we could do without a bedhopping 1st Lady. She has proved time and time again that her only talents lie in spending our country’s riches. It so happens that the two people involved in this have shady pasts Gidiot is no stranger to affairs, (my heart goes out to Hellin his long suffering wife) a well known Harare bedhopper ropes them in with his wealth just ask Miss Zimbabwe and Miss Malaika winner, Brita Masalethulini who was 16 years his junior at the time of the affair, this time he has gone for a much more riskier conquest.

Though the rumour mill was rife in Harare about these two it took a South African newspaper to break this story as local papers knew where they will end up if they were to publish such a story about the scandalous 1st Lady. Newspapers and Journalists are well aware of libelous journalism, they are not going to sit around and concoct such stories, there is no smoke without fire. Some have said that the affair accusations are part of a campaign to discredit Dis-Grace, but I say what more can be said or done to harm her image which she has not done herself. Why has Mugabe and the CIO gone to such great lengths of proving and presenting a dodgy death certificate of his late bodyguard Cain Chademana who knew of the affair. According to the SA Times Chademana was poisoned because he knew of the affair and hid it from the President. If there was no affair they should have just carried on life as normal but no, there have been death threats to some local newspapers editors who they thought were going to run the story, a death certificate with so many holes, a colander would be impressed, all this to try and cover up the affair.

Mugabe is the one who has come out the fool in this whole saga, he is the one who encouraged his wife to work close with the family banker only for him to regret . The old man has his own reasons for denying the affair and putting on a brave face as he carries on plotting against the South African tabloid. The two lovers have denied the affair and have refused to go public with this, to them I say don’t bother we sort of get the picture, there is absolutely no need for you to hold a press conference just let us know how its going once in a while

Munya Chidzonga comes second in the Big Brother Africa reality show and Mugabe rewards him with a cheque for USD300k. There has been a lot of talk and controvesy around this donation to Mr Chidzonga. I do not have anything against this young man he has “achieved” a lot in a very short space of time but USD300K for getting the 1st loser’s place in a reality show and for him to be rewarded so generously in a country ravaged by poverty and social injustices is just insane. In Zimbabwe some have dubbed this “compensation for depression”, as people who have made this possible for Mr Chidzonga set-up a trauma fund, they are scared the actor will spiral into depression. I do understand this money did not come from the taxpayers and people are free to spend their money as they please , but I ask myself why didnt Philip Chiyangwa and his business associates who came up with this money do the same for those struggling families who are unable feed or send their kids to school. There are teachers, nurses and other civil servants who could do with a little bit of financial help, yes those people who actually contribute to the rest of society through what they do for a living. I do not know Munya personally but I can tell you this I dont think financially he is doing bad. This money could have transformed a lot of lives, they are AIDS orphans and street kids who could have benefited from this but who cares.

This is what is wrong with Zimbabwe, priorities are all over the place the gap between the rich and the poor is so big some of these idiots dont care what the rest of the country is going through. If the country was financially stable and there was no wide spread povertyg Mr Chiyangwa could have give Munya a million dollars and I would not give a rats ass.

Its clear, Chiyangwa craves attention and wants to show off his wealth at any chance given even in situations that make him look like a complete idiot he will dive in. This time Philip Chiyangwa decided to rope in his uncle Robert Mugabe to milk the attention surrounding Munya (elections round the corner) and present Munya with the cheque. It is reported that Munya’s wife is reltated to Grace Mugabe and that his family has close ties to ZANU PF, so really this has worked out for both parties. Mugabe helps out a fellow member of his extended familly and he seems to be doing the right thing by stealing the lime light.

The sad thing about this is as ZANU PF gets more and more desparate these media whoring stunts will become more frequent.

Prime Minister Tsvangirai

I don’t know what planet the Prime Minister lives on, I have no idea why he has only decided to come to his senses now October 2010, I guess 2 years is a long time to mull over the relationship. Mugabe, ZANU PF and their supporters have have been at it for a very long time the corruption and violence continues. Teaching old dogs new tricks is a no no and we have seen it with the ZANU PF there was no way they were going to honour the GPA and if the PM ever thought they were going to be equal partners they were disillusioned. ZANU PF will hold on to power no matter the out come of the forthcoming elections, if he is in doubt he should give Mr D. Mutasa a call who recently said that the MDC will never rule Zimbabwe.

For over two years now Tsvangirai has been portraying Mugabe as nice guy easy to deal with and such a joy to work with and together they were going to save the world. I have no idea what spell the PM was under. When the GPA was signed we all knew this was going to be a bumpy ride for the MDC and Tsvangirai. Mugabe only agreed to the GPA because he was going to use the MDC as a crutch and indeed he did. He had the MDC flying around the world begging for aid and cleaning up the mess he had created back home. It has taken this long for PM to realise that Mugabe is not a man of his word, he promised all will be transparent and they will work together but we find that he still appoints friends and family to high positions in the Government with the consent of the PM. The PM is hardly involved in government matters or decision making. For over 2 years Tsvangirai has been playing Mr Nice Guy I dont know if he was trying to please Robert but this was a wrong move. ZANU are ruthless and desperate they are not going to play by the rules, you have to fight fire with fire. They bullied their way back into power after losing the rigged elections and you think they are not going to put up any resistance.

Tsvangirai claims he has had enough of the appointments of Ambassadors and governors without his say, the way ZANU carry on like they are not in a coalition, what is he going to do about it? ….write another letter to Jacob Zuma or run off to SADC who are now clearly supporting Mugabe’s campaign. The PM has been incensed by the Roy Bennett issue and Mugabe knows this, he is holding out as this is his personal vendetta against Mr Bennett. Analysts have often viewed the MDC as passengers on a bus with no idea of their destination and having no say how the ride ends…….they cannot be far from the truth.

The PM needs to realise that the GPA is just a front for ZANU to carry on, they do not care about what plans the MDC have or what they have to say. As usual Jonathan Moyo has something “smart” to say on the PM recent comments he recently come out and said that the coalition have delivered and all is okay describing the PM and his party as disgruntled employees who where after government jobs but did not get them. How the PM can stand aside while this abuse carries on is just beyond me.

Mugabe and Tsvangirai

sceptical of this union…why, because as Zimbabweans we are well versed in how Mugabe operates and from the onset we knew this was not going to be a 50/50 relationship. Many argue that Tsvangirai rushed into a deal to get into power as this might have been his only chance and now that he is there he is enjoying it at all costs. Today the MDC is on the receiving end, are they spectators or are they participants in this “coalition” government. Ever heard of those violent domestic relationships where mummy is verbally and physically abused by the alcoholic father, well this is one them, staged on the political arena. Daddy comes home drunk as skunk beats mummy till she is black and blue but she smiles puts on a brave face and says everything is fine. As I tap away somewhere in Zimbabwe there are MDC supporters being victimsed by the youth militia for political views. They say if you stay because of the kids it never works out……enough of the agony aunt. Every month the MDC produces a newsletter, The Changing Times listing all the perpetrators hounding them and all the injustices they face , who does anything about this, no one the PM just puts on a brave face and smiles. It makes my stomach churn when the Tsvangirai sits there and smiles and chuckles holding Mugabe’s hand like all is well while his people are suffer up and down the country.

Mugabe has got the MDC where wanted them, close to him, now the people can’t even tell the difference between the two, the MDC is now an extension of Zanu PF. Now Mugabe has got them eating out of the palm of his hand, calling for the removal of the shopping sanctions on his behalf, last year he had them running around the world saying what good guy he really is and very easy to deal with. For Mugabe its business as usual with or without the blessing of his concubines. Appointments of his close aides are made without the consent of the Prime Minister or his Deputy. He promised Bennet would appointed as soon as he was exonerated, was he aquitted …Yes, is he going to be appointed….eeerh NO that’s Zanu PF for you. It is common knowledge that Mugabe was never going to implement the GNU, the GPA never existed, how naive of the MDC to think that they were going to be equal partners.

Mugabe and ZANU PF are the only winners in the union, having lost the elections clearly and conclusively, they decided to bully their way back into power this time with the two MDC factions as crutches enabling them to go a little further in the destructuion and looting of national treasures. ZANU PF knows this is the last run so they are working over time, while the sitting ducks (MDC) just watch, their fighting spirit is a thing of the past. Silenced by computers , cars and perks they let Mugabe and ZANU PF get on with what they do best. While ZANU loots MDC pursues the so-called outstanding issues they know very well that Mugabe is not going to let them have their way. They blame the stagnation of the GNU on these outstanding issues, its time to change the record and take Mugabe head-on, you cannot be spectators of your own demise. Right now Mugabe holds the cards and he is going to surprise you, its time to wake up, talks will go on and on, you have had numerous talks that have amounted to nothing.

Remember these words……….Mugabe talks trash about the Presidency

Before Zuma came to power he was a staunch Mugabe critic and we all could not wait for the man to get into office. We could not wait for the burial of “wet towel” Mbeki’s Quiet Diplomacy Policy and the way he was pussyfooting around issues over the border, Mandela had not done much either but more of that some other time……Zuma also criticised Mbeki on how he had handled the whole Zimbabwe issue. Many looked at him as our “savior” from Geriatric but nearly a year on we are still looking for the magic. Don’t get me wrong I know Zuma has got his own domestic issues and the world cup to worry about, I didn’t expect him to swoop into Zimbabwe in his Superman cape but not putting any pressure on Mugabe has not helped matters.

Ian Kharma President of Botswana is the only Leader with a pair in Southern Africa, the Late Zambian President Mwanawasa was another one who did not have a soft spot for Bob and we all thought Zuma was another but it was just farce to feed his campaign. I hope he has one up sleeve because we all feel a bit fooled by him.

JZ once called ZANU PF ministers “adolescent” for a walkout they staged and promised not to follow policies of his predecessor. When his daughter Gugulethu married (MDC-T) Welshman Ncube’s son Wesley I thought for the sake of the inlaws getting along. JZ was going to go in on Mugabe. I think Mugabe was aware of Zuma comming for him but managed to woo him with his charm (didn’t know it still worked). The people of Zimbabwe do not want another Mbeki we do not want another South African President cosy with Mugabe regardless of how long he has been in power. Zuma better act now !

I have just watched the Mugabe interview on CNN…………. what a disaster. I dont know if this went horribly wrong for Christiane Amanpour “CNN Chief International Correspondent” or for the aging dictator. Christiane was ill prepared, not much homework went into that interview, everything Geriatric was spewing is plastered on News sites and papers everywhere (blah, blah, blah) Geriatric Mugabe has not given in to major News networks like CNN in a longtime and for Christiane to give him such an easy ride is unforgivable.

I don’t expect Mugabe to tell us anything new, he always has the same story (change the record Bob) what I do expect is for those interviewers to sink their teeth in, after all he has agreed to the interview. However Geriatric Mugabe did show us another side of him that we had been waiting to see……Where is George Charamba when you need him! You cant exactly say the President was not ready for this, he is just getting on in life, how embarrasing was that Robert “G” eriatric Mugabe lost for words this a first, stummering mumbling all over the place about Bennetts charges. I never thought I would live to see the day when Mugabe doesn’t not have anything to say, the years have caught up and the fat lady is singing it is time to let go.

You see Mugabe normally leaves it to George Charamba aka Nathaniel Manheru aka “the Violet Gonda Violator” to embarass him, he is the man with permanant verbal diarrhea, he is the one who normally blurts out obscenities to foreign media. If Robert “Geriatric” Mugabe thought this interview was going to be his way of worming back into peoples hearts it did not work and I am sure his peers are scratching for answers right now.

I wonder if Jonathan “Political Prostitute” Moyo still thinks ZANU is the way to go……

What are the sanctions against Zimbabwe?

I am sick and tired of listening to that geriatric moaning about sanctions on the nation when there are none. He blames the economic collapse of the country on America and Europe. Its time Zimbabweans woke up to fact that there were never any sanctions inposed on the general economy of Zimbabwe. The country was free to trade with whoever…..Please looked it up. Zimbabwe suffered because of corruption and mismanagement within the governement nothing to do with sanctions. The people have suffered because of the crimes of our leadership.

The Economic sanctions and restrictions were imposed on the thieving leaders of the Nation that is Robert Mugabe and 202 other members of his looting gang and their families also on this list are 40 companies associated with the thieving masters. The restrictions imposed make it difficult for these people to enjoy life overseas while the people of Zimbabwe suffer. While these restrictions have been in place other ethical and legit organisations have been free to trade with the EU and American companies. These people have had bank accounts frozen and assets seized in the countries they have been stashing them away, a travel ban was imposed and their children are barred form studying in these countries. the is also a ban on buying arms. Now tell me how is this going to affect the average Zimbabwean on the street.

As usual Mugabe would get on high horse and feed the people rubbish on how this has crippled the economy so everyone is against the West. If you ask him to state the imposed santions I bet you he would not have a word to say (that will be a 1st) or he will pass some racsit remark as he usually does. His quest for the santions to be lifted is pure ly for selfish reasons as he is under pressure from his cronies to fight this.

Last week a European Union team visited Zimbabwe and they even stressed that the imposed sanctions had “no impact on the common population”. The worst thing they could now is lift these sanctions, these “leaders” have misappropriated enough funds, lifting the sanctions will only give them the go ahead to carry on what they were doing prior to 2002. I am glad they were not taken in by the geritric’s “open arms and fake smile”. Enough is enough these people know you to well.

Robert Mugabe has also managed to put SADC under his spell as they are also crying for these sanctions to be lifted. OInce again SADC lets us down but we have here before.

Over the years Mugabe and his top “followers” have been responsible for some heinous crimes in Zimbabwe but we have never heard of any arrests of top government officials. Those ZANU PF officials who have been accused of crimes have walked free as they have turned to friends in the right places. Murder, corruption, domestic violence, intimidation, abduction the list goes on they have done the lot. In recent weeks MDC officials have had been arrested “laughable crimes” and because some of them have been charged they are now unable to stand for parliament.

This is part of Mugabe’s greater plan to undermine and discredit the other half of the coalition Government as petty thieves and rowdy violent hooligans in suits something members of ZANU are not.Elections are around the corner and ZANU PF are putting in the work, you can’t blame them for tryin after all they did lose last time around and bullied their way to stay. As the geriatrics fall by the wayside this we all know is their last run and they cannot afford to be caught sleeping so the arrests are a good start for them. If Tsvangirai ever thought this was Team playing with Zanu then he definitely is not the right man for the job, we all saw this from a mile away. The Prime Minister popularity is already on the wane with Zimbabweans both at home and abroad because of his associations. He is so focused on getting Mugabe’s approval he does not see the big sharp knife Mugabe is stabbing him with in the back.

If you have an exit strategy out of this coalition circus it is time to bring out Mr PM.

The arrests will carry on and ZANU PF will step it up as we get closer to elections. There is a reason why they held onto the control of the police force, because without the police they won’t get too far.

One of the Zimbabwean daily news sites (will only name them if they give me permission to) had a “Violence Death List” of men and women who had lost their lives because of their political beliefs and I thought it would only be right to come up with a list of the perpetrators and those who became synonymous with Zimbabwe’s recent breakdown in the rule of law and benefited from the Political turmoil.

Is Robert Mugabe a man to be trusted? Prime Minister Tsvangirai will soon find out.

Most Zimbabweans are aware of how Robert Mugabe operates, since the independance of Zimbabwe in 1980 we have seen how he deals with the opposition. This man dreamt of a One Party State that he had control over, he would rule this country until his death more like a Life President and nothing would come between him and his rulership.

Movement of Democratic Chnage

With his One Party State in mind we have seen how he has dealt with his opponents, recently we have seen ZANU PF merge with Morgan Tsvangirai’s Movement of Democratic Change. Before the merge MDC supporters and ordinary Zimbabweans suffered at the hands of ZANU PF zealots, the situation within Zimbabwe was now beyond repair with the whole system collapsing from Health, the Economy, Education and the Political chaos carried on, for a moment it looked like no one could salvage the situation, Mugabe had lost control. With sanctions imposed and mounting pressures from both African and the International community Mugabe was backed into a corner and succumbed to “joining” forces with the enemy after vowing on numerous occassions that he will never work with those he believed to be agents of the West and were hard at work to sell-off the country. His position was weakened and he decided to re-establish himself as the country’s premier this time aided by the MDC, he could not take anymore shots and as the MDC was closing in seeing himself and his party out of the picture was a no-no.

To hold onto power Mugabe employed tactics he had used earlier on in his rulership (If you cant beat them join them or get them to join you) only this time without the the 5th Brigade and the Gukurahundi atrocities(Or maybe with). In the 1980s the Zimbabwe African Peoples Union (PF ZAPU) led by Joshua Nkomo (who once fled to Britain fearing for his life) was Zimbabwe’s major opposition political party they proved to be a force to be wreckoned with and were upsetting Mugabe ‘s One Party State dream. The atrocities and the violence could not carry on and in December of 1987 ZANU swallowed up PF ZAPU in the Unity Accord Agreement “uniting” the two parties with Joshua Nkomo as one of the two Vice Presidents and Mugabe as the First Secretary and President of ZANU PF bringing Zimbabwe under one Political Party, the opposition was gone over night.

With the recent union we see history repeating itself again Mugabe has welcomed MDC just like he did PF ZAPU appointing their leaders as Ministers and giving some power and some of the highest seats in office.

When PF ZAPU was swallowed up by ZANU did we see any of their policies come through, does anyone know what Joshua Nkomo wanted for his people and supporters and did they get it? Will MDC go down the same route or will they be the dominant force in this union, will their influence shine through or are they only there to help Bob clean up the mess he has caused in recent years?

Zimbabwe African Peoples Union (ZAPU)

Late last year we saw the revival of the PF ZAPU, most of the senior leaders who in the late 1980s joined Mugabe have now abandoned him and ZANU callinign for the withdrawal of the 1987 Unity Accord and disolving the Alliance. Former Home Affairs Minister Dumiso Dabengwa was elected interim leader and he chairs the Interim National Executive Committee, with branches across the country PF ZAPU is back with party structures operating under the authority of the Constitution of ZAPU.

The PF ZAPU break-away claimed, among other reasons, Mugabe was an unrepentant dictator, who had frustrated all efforts by party reformists to seek leadership renewal within Zanu-PF. Some members have heavily criticised the late Leader Joshua Nkomo of allowing Mugabe to crush them by incorporating them into ZANU. The WEST obssesed President attacked the break-away faction calling them ”willing tools of the West”, what else was he going to call them….

Is this a victory for the Zimbabwean masses? or is this a victory for both Morgan and Robert? These two men can stand in front of the whole world and smile at each other but we all know they do not like each one bit. Mugabe vowed never to work with the enemy (Tsvangirai and his so-called supporters) and Tsvangirai has been at the receiving end of Mugabe’s belt a number of times over ther years, are we to believe that he has forgiven the old man for all those days he spent at the Avenues clinic? Maybe Or Maybe not.

The world and Zimbabweans have been putting increasing pressure for Mugabe and Zanu to pack it in and make way for a new establishment, but we all know the old man is not going anywhere according to him its the people of Zimbabwe who want him to stay.

How is this coalition going to work when these two have totally diffrerent goals? As the pressure was on Mugabe to be seen to be making change and as the economy cannot get any worse he has turned to Tsvangirai. If he invites MDC into the power sharing he avoids all the sunctions and the condemnation that was heading his way, with the economy in such a state and all his friends abandoning him he needs a new lapdog and this has arrived in the form of Mr Tsvangirai. Mugabe does not care about Mr Tsvangirai and MDC, he is a selfish man who is only worried about where he ends up in all this, do you seriously think he is going to give them a chance. Austrailia has maintained sanctions against Zimbabwe will remain despite Morgan being sworn in, why you ask because they know Mugabe and his tricks. On the other hand I think Mr Tvsangirai has achieved what he set out to achieve – to become Prime Minister of Zimbabwe whether the power-sharing deal benefits the peple of Zimbabwe or not. Tsvangirai will be working with the same people that have destroyed the country all these years what makes him think that his influence on Government matters will change the way the old boys have been running things. Rememeber this is Zimbabwe and as long as Mugabe has the last word it does not matter who you have on back, who youhave backing you or how many members of Parliament you have Bob will be Bob and you know how he does………

Should Tsvangirai have kept on fighting dirty Mugabe? I think he should have, I know there was blood shed and a lot of people lost their lives to the nonsense ZANU was cooking but are we going to be free from this oppression, is our economy going to pick up are our kids going to have dreams again, will we stop dying from hunger, will we stop dying from curable diseases? Morgan wanted to be Prime Minister so much he has lost site and Mugabe is going to chew him up and spit him out.

To you Mr Prime Minister I say Good Luck.

The Economic situation in Zimbabwe has finally brought the the Education Engine to a halt, kids are not attending school as the authorites keep moving the opening dates. Schools have been on break since begining of December and may open as far into the year as March 2008 saw more distrptions than any other year with “elections”, teachers strikes, availability of resources, the cholera outbreak and various other unheard of excuses and unprecedented challenges.

Any Zimbabwean who was educated in the system prior to Mugabe’s madness would tell you how they were proud of the Education they recieved. Now its a shame the schools are there but not much is going on. We always say our children are our future but in this case they are not priority. This is the time when the Government should make sure that amidst all the madness at least the schools are open and the kids are looked after. This is the birth of the Lost Generation, this government will stop at nothing till the country is buried. The Main reason why the schools stay shut is funding from the government, nothing new in Zimbabwe funds have been diverted and this was not for a good reason. Grade 7 results are still not out as the markers have not been paid, the excuses go on and on.

Private schools were immune to some of the outrageous excuse from the Mugabe’s Government as they managed to stay operational but this January Mugabe has decide to send in the Army and make sure they stay shut untill he gives the word. Yes people the Army, just a few months ago they were at the recieving end now thay are making sure kids don’t make it to school anyone seen to give the go ahead on opening schoo;s risks jail time or the norm a good beeating. Private schools have been a sore subject in Zimbabwe over the years, most if not all are self funded and there should be no reason why they should remain shut if the problem is cash flow to the Government funded schools. I guess this is a way of getting back to them and reminding then that this is Zimbabwe and you cannot show too much independence or self governance.

Just when you think it cant get any worse than this Bob pulls one from under you, who would have thought the leader of a country would allow such to go on in their own country.

We all know this is part of Robert Mugabe Grand destructive plan, they misappropriate funds dont open schools distrupt the Academic year, dont pay the teachers, shut down some schools, semd in the armyto intinidate those that are able to operate that way no one goes to school and no one gets a proper education and no new people with bright ideas to take over from him. What is going to become kids of this generation without a proper education, struggling economy and no faith in the in the system.

Cholera has gripped Zimbabwe with Harare and BeitBridge hit the worst, we can blame this on lack of clean water, lack and price of Medicines, overstreched Health workers the high cost of living the list goes on. The only people we should point fingers at right now is the failing Zimbabwean Governement. As the situation worsens the Government keeps saying all is well, this takes me back a couple of years ago when Robert was telling us that there is no food shortage in Zimbabwe when the shelves where empty.

It goes to show that this man has lost it, the shelves are empty yet he is telling the world not to donate food as there is no one facing hunger. Earlier this week Edwin Muguti, the Deputy Health Minister said the outbreak was under control and blamed the situation on Western sanctions against President Mugabe. The present Governement has been the architect of this whole crisis, Edwin Muguti and his ministry have stood back and watched institutions such as Parirenyatwa Hospital the largest medical centre in Zimbabwe shut down operations, I guess the West is to blame for this as well. The ridiculousness of this whole situation is the government sits back as the death toll rises. It is the ordinary Zimbabwean who suffers these people at the top have all the resources to combat the hardships faced by the masses.

Doctors and nurses are not well paid for their services as the ministry cannot handle it. Sanitation is at its worst repairs and maintance are unheard of as the whole system goes into further meltdown. Anything bad happens in Zimbabwe the West is to blame, this is so hard to believe when their movements in the country is restricted colonialism was years ago please quit playing this card it is you who have bled the country dry. We are well aware of the impact of colonialism it is now time to move on, you have failed us and you have failed yourself and it is time to hand over the country to those who are capable of running it.

Just how much more damage does Robert Mugabe want to inflict on his own people, first the never-heard-of inflation, then the unrest violation of human rights, the elections, the hunger, the break down of the Nation now cholera….The Zimabwe we knew is no more and it will take a miracle to restore it back to its former glory. One of the best Health Systems in Africa all gone, Education system on the verge of collapse, our torurism industry gone, is this the work of the nasty West.

My dream has come true, Thabo Mbeki is packing his bags as I write this. Mbeki’s slimy dealings have caught up with him. Many of you will know that I am not his biggest fan as he sold us Zimbabweans for a very long time and only pulled out his finger when it was a bit late. His coward-self is back on the job market rejected by his own people. Now now people I had nothing to do with his departure but I have just chilled the champagne…………This man took a back when all the trouble in Zimbabwe was brewing instead of intervening he decided to let go on. He only got of his arse when things were getting worse and the international community were amazed at his lack of support and intervention the so-called Quiet Diplomacy. He was was more worried about Robert Mugabe’s feelings than the welfare of Zimbabweans even his brother Moeletsi Mbeki does not agree with him.

This is the man who once rejected funds for anti-retrovirals and accused white people of using anti-retrovirals to harm black people. This resulted in millions of premature Aids-related deaths which I am sure the people of South Africa did not agree with. These drugs could have helped millions of people.

Good Luck in your next job Mr Mbeki (Which I am sure will NOT be on along the lines of Adviser, Moderator,or Leader)
